Très bien placé en centre ville, ce restaurant n'a rien à voir aux restaurants qui me font voyager gustativement.
Dans un cadre très classe, la patronne nous accueille et nous commente chaque plat. Au fourneau, le patron nous embarque dans un voyage à mi chemin entre la Provence et le Pérou. Déclinaisons de plats délicatement mêlés au différents piments SUBTILLEMENT piquants mais pas trop.
Quantité suffisante dans chaque assiette.
C'est un couple de passionné nous permet de découvrir une cuisine subtile, délicate.

Restaurant situé sur l’artère principale du centre d’Avignon (rue de la république). Au 1er étage de l’immeuble, salle de restaurant ambiance art déco chic et sobre.
C’est un couple de restaurateurs qui gère l’établissement d’une main de maître: le mari avignonnais aux fourneaux et sa femme d’origine péruvienne en salle.
Le mariage se fait aussi dans l’assiette, où les saveurs de Provence se complémentent avec des saveurs péruviennes avec justesse.
Le chef a beaucoup de talent, les mélanges sont subtils: une asperge grillée avec des notes de chocolat et de piment doux… qui l’aurait cru? Et pourtant ça « matche » à merveille !
Aucune fausse note jusqu’au dessert inclus!
Nous avons passé un excellent moment, hors du temps.
La question que je me pose: pourquoi ce restaurant n’est pas étoilé?

I visited Hiely Lucullus about a week ago and had a wonderful dinner. The blend of Peruvian and Provençal flavors were delicious and unique. I was supposed to be dining with my husband, however he was sick and unable to join me. The chef went above and beyond and freshly made my husband a special “potion” of spices to take back to the hotel for him to drink to help make him feel better. Merci beaucoup Chef and Patricia!!!

Dans un décor art nouveau resté figé dans le temps, la maîtresse des lieux nous accueille avec sourire à l’étage de l’immeuble du centre ville. Menu unique le soir, donc bien appeler avant si des problèmes d’allergies. Une cuisine raffinée et parfaitement cuite. Un mélange entre la Provence et le Pérou (donc il faut aimer les piments de toutes sortes, pas nécessairement forts). Menu en 7 plats bien dosés pour 105e. Très carte des vins à laquelle il faudrait ajouter quelques prix d’appel. Mériterait l’étoile Michelin.

A spectacular lunch worth a detour! My wife and I went with our one year old son for our first fine dining with a baby and we could not have had a warmer experience. Stellar food that creates a melange of provencale and peruvian food. Lunch menu with four inventive courses for a very reasonable price. Especially the trout was an explosion of taste. Huge thanks goes to the support for us as a family there.

This is a fantastic restaurant in the heart of Avignon. It is French with a hint of Peruvian spice which works superbly as a pair. You get a 5 course set menu at lunch and a 7 course set menu at dinner which is what we had. The setting is formal and the sever was very pleasant and very knowledgeable about the food. Would highly recommend.

Wow. We had a fabulous 7 course meal with impeccable service by the lovely Peruvian Patricia. Every course was thoughtfully prepared with outstanding flavors and presentation. Unlike other tasting menu experiences I’ve had in the past, Hièly is perfectly portioned and paced. It’s a MUST do in Avignon. Ideally, book ahead of time on the website but we were lucky enough to walk-in during low tourist season. There are only 3 or 4 tables so book far in advance if you can. Worth every euro and more.

We had dinner on Saturday night at this restaurant and were overwhelmed by the standard of the food. It was exceptional. Each mouthful was a pure delight of flavours, textures and creativity. The chef blends spices from Peru with local ingredients and in season products. Very cleverly done with a brilliant result - It really was amazing. In our humble opinion we feel this restaurant deserves a Michelin Star.

Such an amazing meal! The atmosphere is great, the service is fantastic and friendly, and the food is really remarkable. I highly recommend a visit!

We were there as a couple to celebrate a birthday after finding it in the Guide Michelin. The food was excellent, and even something as simple as green asparagus became a sensation. There were no boring courses there. The service was precise and friendly and could cater to all our needs, especially my questions. The ambiance and location felt very high class and also intimate and still very welcoming.
The price is more than adequate, and if I would have guessed only by the food, service, and location, I would have guessed it to be much more expensive.
But mostly I want to stress two things for non-French speakers and vegetarians. This is a very good place for you. I sent an email with all dietary restrictions the morning before and swiftly got a call back so they could plan alternatives for us. The call was done in English and left me feeling in good hands.
On a last note, we don't drink alcohol and had a non-alcoholic aperitif with herbs and juices, which I loved!
Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for any special occasions or if you just want to have some haute cuisine.

We shared a milestone birthday here and the service, and food, was exceptional!
The hostess can speak three languages fluently, English, French, Spanish; and the food was a magnificent mix between Peruvian and traditional French cuisine.

Excellent du début à la fin. Une decouverte sans cesse, qui fait voyager entre la Provence et le Pérou. Le meilleur de ces deux cuisines, des plats recherchés, raffinés, un sans faute.
La qualité de la cuisine, l’accueil, le cadre, font passer un superbe moment.

Exceptionnel ! un véritable voyage pour les sens et une cuisine d’une originalité qui ne peut décevoir. Tout était parfait, de la présentation des plats, au goût en passant par l’explication des mets. Une superbe expérience qui invite juste à recommencer !

We have just arrived in the region to settle down. Friends recommended this unusual restaurant to us with cuisine between Provence and Peru. An unforgettable experience in a fabulous setting. There are only a few tables for a few customers who are lucky enough to be greeted by the chef's wife who is as charming as she is professional. Being welcomed and served with a smile is becoming an increasingly rare thing today, and here we felt good. The dinner was wonderful from start to finish. A very mastered and tasty cuisine with surprising flavors. We discovered many products that we did not know, all presented and explained by the chef's wife. Thanks to our friends, we discovered a really good gourmet restaurant and we will come back and introduce it in our turn !
