Very interesting experience! I had never seen olives being grown, and it was quite novel for me. The self-guided tour was free and very informative. It was a walk of about 1 kilometer around the property accompanied by audio clips (available in both French and English) explaining the steps of the olive oil production process. I would recommend bringing headphones, as it can be a bit hard to hear on your phone if there is strong wind, as there was on the day of our visit. The grounds were very well maintained, and the views of the surrounding hills were impressive. We then had a free tasting of several different types of Moulin Castelas olive oils. We did not feel strongly pressured to buy by the staff, as I think the quality of the product speaks for itself.
The only qualm I had about the tour was that I had limited data left on my phone plan, and streaming each audio clip used quite a bit of data. It may not be practical to have WiFi available on the full walking route, but this would have made the experience even better for people like me who don't have unlimited data.
Would definitely recommend anyone visiting the Les Baux/St. Rémy area to stop in for a visit here. They have done much to make the tour and tasting experience very pleasant and informative.

Un site magnifique, des huiles exceptionnelles, un accueil très chaleureux. 0n a qu'une envie, y retourner le plus souvent possible et découvrir toujours plus de nouvelles saveurs. Un vrai plaisir !
