Il clafouti è la cosa migliore e in generale i dolci. Cucina curata, tradizione più un po' di innovazione. Spazio poco. Porzioni piccole in generale, eccezion fatta per i dolci. Prezzo un po' sopra... Servizio serio, che sa rimediare agli errori. Digestione ottima.

Super endroit, cuisine niçoise extra, serveurs sympa malgré le monde et l’agitation. Penser à réserver à l’avance. Seul bémol : pas de climatisation. En tenir compte quand les températures sont caniculaires

I chose Chez Davia for a special dinner while visiting Nice, based on its Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition. While the food was solid, the service left us genuinely disappointed.
Early in the meal, our server asked where we were from. After learning we were American, he made an unexpected political remark — which felt inappropriate and unprofessional in a hospitality setting. From that moment on, he noticeably disengaged, and other staff ended up handling our table. It left the evening feeling cold and unwelcoming.
There were other issues as well: a €50 bottle of red wine was served overly warm with no acknowledgment, and the dessert we’d looked forward to (crème brûlée) was unavailable. Instead, the only option was a lemon tart that had been sitting out in the open on a warm evening — not ideal for a restaurant at this price point.
For a €200 meal for two, I expected a more gracious and attentive experience. Unfortunately, the hospitality didn’t match the promise of the kitchen — or the price.

Des plats traditionnels subtilement revisités avec une touche de modernité.
Nous nous sommes volontiers prêtés au jeu des assiettes à partager, au point d’avoir eu du mal à nous arrêter... et ainsi découvrir près des trois quarts de la carte.
Des produits locaux parfaitement maîtrisés, et de l’émotion à chaque bouchée.
Félicitations au chef, à toute son équipe, ainsi qu’à Thibau, notre serveur aux petits soins.
Nous avons passé un moment délicieux, et ne manquerons pas de revenir lors de notre prochain passage à Nice.
