After three positive stays at Hotel Riva, our fourth visit was a major disappointment – and it will be our last.
A serious incident involving a staff member was handled in an unacceptable manner by the hotel management. The employee clearly misunderstood us – a result of cultural and language barriers that should have been managed professionally by trained personnel. Instead of attempting to clarify the situation or objectively assess the incident, the entire team, including the General Manager, immediately took the side of the employee.
This behavior was neither customer-oriented nor solution-focused. There was no effort made to hear our perspective. Such a disrespectful and biased approach to dealing with guests is entirely unacceptable. Never have we experienced such poor treatment.
A real shame.

En bord de mer, aucun bruit sinon celui des vagues. Service impeccable, parking en sous-sol à réserver. Petit-déjeuner en chambre sur demande. Je recommande.

Csodás hely, tiszta, kényelmes szobák, tengerre néző kilátás. Életre.szóló élmény!
Das Frühstück ist masslos überteuert für die gebotene Qualität, und die Hotelbar lädt mit ihrer lieblosen Atmosphäre keineswegs zum Verweilen ein. Das Personal? Arrogant, unfreundlich und nicht im Geringsten serviceorientiert. Man hat das Gefühl, als Gast unerwünscht zu sein.
Fazit: Nie wieder! Spart euch das Geld und sucht euch eine bessere Unterkunft. In Menton gibt es definitiv Hotels, die in Sachen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis um Welten besser sind!
