CAMPING LA GARANGEOIRE ^{* * * * *}

Nous avons passé 3 semaines en famille dans ce camping en Aout 2024 dans un lodge (une grande tente avec un plancher en dur, des cloisons en bois pour séparer l'espace et une salle de bain). C'est un camping calme, très grand (plus de 20ha pour les emplacements sur un domaine de 200 ha), très international (une majorité de public anglophone pendant notre séjour). Les lodges sont très bien conçus et la literie est confortable. Les services sont nombreux (dont une supérette ouverte jusqu'à 20h), un bon restaurant, 2 bars, plusieurs lieux de baignade, des cours de tennis, un centre équestre, etc.
Superbe découverte, on reviendra !
Un grand bravo à l'équipe d'accueil très sympathique et réactive, et qui sait prendre le temps pour chaque client.

We visited for the first time this year and absolutely see the reason for the positive reviews and reason people come back year after year. ||The campsite is beautifully laid out, planted with lovely plants and impeccably maintained. The site has a calmness and positivity everywhere you go and the staff are so helpful and friendly. ||The site has lots of outdoor space and a full schedule accessible by an app for things to do. Kids club was good between 10 and 12 and again in the evening. Evening entertainment was fairly low key but enjoyable. No lively bands etc but lots going on. I think my only recommendation would be to vary the evening entertainment a bit with some more lively live music and also provide an area older kids to hang out as when we came at the end of August the park area and WiFi area was a bit dark in the evening - maybe an area specifically designed for kids 10 - 16 to hang out near the bar area.||We stayed on a pitch with a small touring caravan and the pitch was large and private. Some had private facilities. If you want one with sunshine, ask when booking as the ones at the bottom are shaded by large trees which will be great for some but not all. The camping area was lovely.||There is a superb clean swimming pool with slides including a covered pool and lots of loungers, a reasonable priced bar overlooking the pool. There is a big bar with a beautiful walled garden for relaxing in and a smaller bar elsewhere which is more suited to adults and very nice. Things to do include horse riding, tennis, a lagoon for swimming, lakes, walking paths, table tennis, arcade room with pool tables. We had food at the restaurant and it was lovely - service was great and food really nice. Would be good to use evening kids club if you want dinner with out the kids.||We used the site to explore the coastline which has amazing cycle routes - the whole vendee seems like a cyclists dream especially with kids. Cycling directly from the site isn't great but we enjoyed taking the bike and parking up on the coast and cycling in to towns like Les Sables-d'Olonne and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie which have great restaurants and beaches. ||The market in Brétignolles sur Mer was great and definitely worth a visit! Followed by a trip to the beach. ||It definitely has a unique vibe on the site which feels safe, relaxing and great for kids and families. Everywhere on the site is clean and well maintained. I would 100% recommend it.

An excellent site for young families and multi-generational stays. Clean, quiet and plenty to keep everyone entertained. Would recommend the family mobile home set up; two caravans sharing one deck and garden space. Great for larger groups!

This was our 2nd visit to La Garangeoire and we had another wonderful holiday. This is a great campsite for families with young children. We had a shaded pitch with a private sanitary block which made our stay very comfortable. All the staff we encounterred were lovely. The kids club staff work very hard to provide fun activities for the children. The food in the takeaway is good quality and well cooked. Our only suggestion would be to vary some of the evening entertainers in the bar as several of them were the same as featured last year but that said, we'd happily see Zanzibar's act every year as he is great. ||||Our children are aged 5 and 8 years and this site is ideal for them. We love the setup here and we may well return next year to further explore the wonderful Vendee area.
