The hotel automatically charged without my permission a prepayment authorization (allowed for by their knowledge of my credit card details on my reservation) of much higher amount than that actually implied by my recervation. This amount was high enough to cover the maximum monthly amount allowed for my credit card. In addition, on my arrival they asked me to pay in advance the entire due fee, without withdrawing their prepayment on the card - which made my payment impossible and not possible to understand for me before knowing the occurrence of the prepayment authorization. This abuse and lack of information from the hotel is just not acceptable. I would have preferred a straight and clear prepayment at booking time.

Chambre calme et spacieuse; formalités d'entrée et de sortie rapide et efficace.
Un petit bémol pour le réglage du chauffage dans la chambre; pas très aisé pour ajuster la bonne température.!.

The hotel rooms were nice and the breakfasts were good. However staff were not very welcoming and, at times, very dismissive. Check in was slow and "confusing" - initially putting me in a room which was already occupied. Although we were informed the bar was open in the evening whenever we tried to get a drink we were completely ignored. Even after several requests to the staff that we would like to be served they continued to ignore us and focus on "other work priorities" as they refer to it. Eventually when we did get service there was no apology and they went straight back to focusing on other things. As paying guests looking to spend money at the bar we found this very disrepectful.
