SUITE NOVOTEL TUNNEL SOUS LA MANCHE ^{* * * *}

Great location, easy parking, great staff. However the hotel is tired and in need of upgrading. It is nowhere near what one would expect from a 4* hotel. I was fortunate to get it for the same price as a "normal" B&B. (no idea why) It is not worth the advertised price.

L’hôtel se trouve juste à cote des terminaux (moins de 10 minutes en voiture). Je suis arrivé juste avant minuit mais l’accueil était chaleureux et les installations de la chambre me permettais de bien dormir avant de continuer mon voyage outre-Manche. Seul bémol - je ne pouvais pas faire fonctionner le système de climatisation mais probablement à cause de la fatigue. De toute façon je me suis bien dormi grâce au comfort du lit.

Welcome at reception very good and informative. There was a breakfast area and bar but the restaurant was at the Sister Hotel next door.

First, the good points: excellent location for LeShuttle and/or Cite Europe, friendly staff, good car park with plenty of room (love the fact that the police park their vans and cars there, and use the hotel, nice one)||Cite Europe and some restaurants (some inside the shopping centre, some outside) are only a few minutes walk, so really good for that||Room was acceptably clean, thanks||Breakfast was fine, sufficient choice and acceptable quality||Bad points: the air-con is apparently wired weirdly, when I reported the non-working air-con, the staff member showed that, paradoxically, you need to **increase** the thermostat setting to turn the air-con on, so no real control over the actual temperature, and of course the hotel is ex-Accor group so the air-con can only cool the room a degree or so, nowhere near cool enough for my taste. Bed is very hard, needed to use one half of the quilt as a mattress topper....||Overall, considering the price, it's an OK hotel for a stopover
