HÔTEL MODERNE ^{* * *}

2 nuits passés à l’hôtel. Chambre 432 confortable, propre et bien insonorisée (à l’arrière de l’hôtel). Bon petit déjeuner.|Un excellent accueil également. Très bon service aussi (mes écouteurs sans fil oubliés dans la chambre m’ont été renvoyés sans délai).

Arrived mid thunderstorm so unloading a bit of effort as parking not close. Nice guy on reception, room was Ok nothing flash but comfortable. No food at evening on Sunday so had another wet trek to eateries in main square.|Breakfast was adequate some variety, morning reception lady also lovely. Traffic outside open window a bit of too early morning call, but all and all fine.

Expérience honteuse !

Pour un voyage professionnel ce week-end, nous avons fait appel à cet hôtel. Si le personnel s'est au début montré très réactif pour 2 réservations en last minute, notamment Monsieur Caron que je remercie, lors d'un appel hier après-midi la personne s'est montrée très hautaine, accompagnée de sa responsable (j'imagine) qui lui chuchotait derrière les indications en pensant être discrète, alors que j'attendais une confirmation par mail.

Je me suis donc plaint de leur ton qui ne me convenait pas, car on m'a clairement parlé comme si j'étais une moins que rien dès les premières secondes de l'échange, alors que je me suis montrée courtoise et suis, si je ne me trompe pas, censée être la cliente, attendant juste une réponse à mon mail avec une fiche fournisseur + leur RIB pour régler les chambres.

Elles ont donc décidé alors d'annuler la réservation car... je me suis plaint de son ton très désagréable.
Et en ajoutant que dans tous les cas ce n'était pas une perte pour eux, puisque c'est le Main Square et que quelqu'un d'autre réservera les chambres, réflexion d'autant + honteuse lorsqu'on sait que c'est l'un des seuls gros week-end à Arras.

Bien entendu je n'ai pas manqué d'informer mes clients, de ne jamais mettre les pieds dans cet hôtel Moderne qui n'a finalement rien de moderne.

Un grand merci à l'hôtel Mercure, juste à côté d'avoir pu trouver une solution face à une annulation si honteuse et j'en perds mes mots tant les réactions étaient pitoyables.

Hôtel de renom,très bien situé, la direction et le personnel sont attentif à vos besoins !

Initial impression was good with a very friendly welcome from the receptionist. This is where any positive comments we have end. We booked last minute in what was supposed to be a standard room. (They have budget rooms as well, we dread to think what they are like). The rooms are described as basic and they are certainly that but they are also desperately in need of renovation, new bedding, new bathroom - just everything. The lift only just works, the corridors are dark and dingy, the tables in the breakfast area are chipped, the chairs stained, broken spout on orange juice jug and a dead fly on the cheese plate. We had booked to stay for 2 nights, and unfortunately had to stay the first night as nothing else available and it was already after 6pm so too late to travel elsewhere. The friendly receptionist became very abrupt and unfriendly when challenged about the room and standards. We left the next day although the hotel refused to offer any refund. We finally got my money back through our credit card company who agreed the standards were unacceptable and the hotel did not bother to challenge it.
