劳巴德城堡（château de laubade

We were traveling in December of all times to Gers and my partner arranged to visit Laubade for an armagnac tasting. The gentlemen (I'm terrible with names, especially after the fact) who walked us around the grounds and gave the tour was great, and even though it was just the two of us he answered all of our questions and didn't rush anything.

The tasting, and the time we took, was unexpected and wonderful. They took the time to walk us through many bottles of all grades/types and answered all of our questions.

I will call out that although Laubade is common at stores, at the tasting you're able to experience some of the rare or special cask bottles that may not be imported or easily found. A bonus is they are affordable as well, in the grand scheme of things.

I can't thank them enough for giving us the tour, the whole experience was wonderful and unexpected. Some day we will come back for another visit.

Отличный выдержанный арманьяк с юга Франции! Для тех, кто впервые столкнулся с этим названием: арманьяк- это коньяк, произведенный во Франции, но не в регионе Новая Аквитания. Только там могут производить именно коньяк. В других местах чаще всего называют «бренди». У нас в Молдавии теперь эти напитки называются «дивин».

We booked a tour and tasting, having had Chateau de Laubaude Armagnac before. We are so glad we did! We got a tour of the property and learned so much about the process of how Armagnac is made. The tasting was wonderful and being able to try different blends and varietals side by side helped us narrow down what we really truly appreciate about Armagnac. Don't miss if in the region. We bought several bottles we can't get back in the US.
