One of the best places I’ve stayed at. The chateau is gorgeous and there is so much detail and thought put into making this such a relaxing stay. My biggest regret was only staying one night!! We will absolutely be back.

Loved the hotel very much. Feels like it takes you back in time. It is located in a peaceful, green neighborhood. Loved the fact that this is a historic place and the owner tried to keep it maximum to the old times style. You feel the soul and the nice aura of the place, the staff and management are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Special love goes to their dog, he is so cute and greets every guest. :))) This is so sweet. breakfasts are super nice too. If you want to stay near Avignon area in Provence I highly recommend staying in this hotel as it will surely add the value to your whole Provence experience.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Chateau de Varenne. The rooms are gorgeous! Exactly what you'd expect and want from a french Chateau, except modern and clean and simply beautiful. The place is quiet and the views incredible. The staff were all friendly, helpful , and Emma gave good recommendation after the next for the best places to eat and tour. The location is well within easy reach of the villages nearby but far away enough so you feel you can relax in nature when you're home. This doesn't feel like a hotel, which we love, except for the outstanding breakfast which is 5 star quality! It feels more like you're visiting friends who happen to have an incredible Chateau in France. We are already looking forward to our return to Chateau de Varenne.

If you are lucky enough to come across Château de Varenne in your search for accommodations, don't think twice. This unique property is stunning - better than the pictures if you can imagine - and the staff are a delight.

The interior design for both private and public rooms is impeccable. The room had lavender that you could smell every time you walked in and it came with a robe that many folks wore out to the pool. This is a relaxing environment where you can pour your own glass of wine and charge it to the room while you lounge in the salon, play pétanque, or enjoy the pool at any hour. They offered to make us dinner reservations the night we arrived. The breakfast spread is very nice, as is the patio where you can enjoy it. I thoroughly appreciated and used the water filter with options for bubbles and the espresso machine that makes a solid cappuccino.

Also there is the most well-behaved doodle on the property who will not bother you if you don't like dogs but will gladly take some pets if you do. Highly recommend this wonderful place!

We had a wonderful few days at Château de Varenne. The setting is magnificent. Breakfast on the patio sitting in glorious sunshine was such a treat. Top class service throughout from Paul, Emma and all the staff. Will definitely be back

We just got back from Chateau de Varenne and I wish I never left! The hotel is a gem - big enough to have all the right amenities and yet small enough to still feel personal. Emma went above and beyond to give us personalized recommendations. The location, the decor, the amenities - they're all amazing! My absolutely favorite part about the chateau is breakfast! Sitting out on the terrace with fresh produce and bread and a warm cappuccino was the best part of my day. Emma even gave my mom a bit of her favorite breakfast bread to go on the day we left. We can't recommend Chateau de Varenne enough - thank you Radford family for a wonderful stay!

What a little gem in the heart of Provence. The château is absolutely stunning, the pool area is fab and the service surpassed all our expectations. There is no lunch and dinner in the property but you can find plenty of options within a few minutes drive.

A real hidden gem of a boutique hotel. This stunning chateau is filled with warmth, beautiful interiors and lovely grounds. Breakfast is fantastic and Emma and the team have wonderful dinner recommendations. We loved the fact that drinks are available throughout the day through a couple of honesty bars and the coffee machine felt like it was always on hand to give us a boost! The chateau is in a small quiet village surrounded by wonderful towns and villages with lots to do within a short drive. The team here are truly fantastic and they made it feel like a home from home, but grander without the stresses of life!

The most wonderful experience! Our families stayed there prior to our wedding and we loved it, such a beautiful chateau and kind people running it.

Chateau de Varenne exceeded all of our expectations and more! From the common rooms to the bedrooms the chateau is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully appointed. The smell of lavender wafted throughout. The bath was stocked with gorgeous products. The optional breakfast - my advice is to opt in! Emma, Paul and their staff are the most accommodating and I cannot emphasize enough how well looked-after we felt. We saw Emma and/or Paul at least once a day and when we did it was - how is your day, do you need anything, how can I help. Such a kind, considerate couple and they’re in the perfect business as they are the perfect hosts. A bonus for those of us with limited French speaking ability is they speak English. We used the chateau as our home base while we day tripped around Provence and it felt exactly like that... coming back (to a clean, comforting, fabulous) home at the end of each day. After long days of going, relaxing in one of the salons, having a drink from the honest bar, and sinking into a plush bed at night made all the difference. Also, ‘Chateau Woody’ the doodle could not have been a cuter addition to our stay! If you’re not an animal lover, no fear because Woody was one of the better behaved dogs I have met and minded his own business unbothered by the new faces. If you do love animals, he will make your stay that much more comforting. If I’m lucky enough to return to the south of France I know I will return to the chateau. For any potential visitor, I wish I could give my email so I can sing the chateau’s praises and give more detail about how it is the perfect place to stay. Please consider this review a 1000/10 recommendation.

Un lieu d exception avec un personnel accueillant tellement agréable à l ecoute et d'une propreté irréprochable

If you expect hospitality at this mansion stay away. This is actually a B and B. There is little attention paid to the comfort of guests. I had a cheap plastic bottle of water in my room and we were left on our own to find dinner several away in a one restaurant village. I was told there was no food prepared for the guests. Note that there is no elevator and if you have bad knees or trouble walking stairs, it is quite difficult. The price of the rooms reflects the quality of the stay.

Ein wundervoller Ort um den Alltag zu vergessen. Überall gibt es liebevoll inszenierte Details zu entdecken. Wir wurden sehr gastfreundlich empfangen, obwohl wir nur eine Nacht gebucht hatten. ..aber wir kommen wieder!

It is a beautiful place..a place to relax, to enjoy the nature..comfortable rooms, good breakfast, nice swimming... lovely atmosphere in general. Very nice people welcoming us, including the owners.
The only weak point it that is an old house badly insolated in terms of noise (not really soundproof technology when it was built). So in the night if a group of guests decides to stay outside speaking and listening to music (like lat night) it can be quite noisy also in the room, making it difficult to sleep.

Excellent hotel, it really worth the place. The staff is really polite and serviceable. The only down part is the breakfast, very complete but it does not worth 20 euros, 10 euros would be fine.
