The place was NOTHING like the pictures on their website (real photos below) and even though the rooms we booked were not suited for more than a single night, both Gites de France and the owners glady accepted our booking.
The place was in disarray and very difficult to reach. Dinners are not served anymore, despite being mentioned on the website. We stayed one night but were relentlessly attacked by insects (could be mosquitoes - or bedbugs or lice -) so that we got up at 04:00 and fled the place.
Despite these obvious and undisputed facts, both Gites de France and the owners were unapologetic and simply refuse to even return a part of the - very ample - sum we paid them for two weeks and two rooms.
We had great experiences with Gites de France in the past. But this one was a complete and utter debacle.
