Très belle endroit plein de charme et d'histoire. Les chambres sont spacieuses et raffinées. Le petit déjeuner a été un moment particulièrement agréable. ||Le seul bémol s'il fallait n'en citer qu'un, est le manque d'accessibilité quand on arrive en voiture et qu'on a une grande valise.

Très bon service, accueil, chambres propres qui ne sentent pas le poisson pourri (et pourtant ma tendre et chère Mélissou avait lâché une de ses caisses fumantes dont elle seule à le secret après avoir mangé des délicieux nuggets de poulet dans le restaurant avoisinant ????)
Seul petit bémol : j’ai bien dû chercher Margaret pendant DES HEURES mais aucune femme que j’ai abordé ni monsieur aux longs cheveux ne se prénommaient ainsi (bizarre!) au contraire j’ai bien failli me faire renvoyer de l’hôtel par la police municipale pour des raisons qui m’échappent….
En tout cas cette Margaret est une sacrée farceuse pour faire autant de cache cache ????????

Hôtel magnifique .

Dommage la cour était encombrée en lien avec l' organisation de la féria.
Nous n'avons pas pu en profiter ,personnel qui procédait à des installations de décoration.
Pas de réponse concernant l' utilisation de la piscine par la réceptionniste qui devait se renseigner auprès de sa responsable. Pas de parking à l' hôtel .
Parking public à 10 minutes.

A beautifully peaceful oasis in a great central location. We had a lovely stay at Margaret Chouleur and the front of house staff who we met were very helpful and friendly. We had been upgraded to stay in the duplex apartment which was a nice touch, but we found it to have a few things wrong which were a shame, but didn't ruin our experience. For example the air con units were broken in the lounge, the kitchen was poorly equipped and cupboards could do with updating, the kitchen tap leaked in an interesting way. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious, clean and well decorated and bed very comfy. However, the upper floor is accessed through a VERY steep and potentially dangerous staircase, and we struggled with the suitcases and had to be very careful whenever we used the stairs. Not suitable for older guests or those with younger children. When we returned to the hotel after we had been out about 10pm and wanted a drink from the bar. Whilst the lovely receptionist was happy to help she didnt know her way around a bar, and wasnt able to make cocktails, consequently we felt we were a bit of a nuisance. That said, we had a lovely stay, a great breakfast and would definitely stay there again.

Bonjour,

Nous avons essayé de venir à l’hôtel, mais l’accès à la rue était bloqué par une barrière. Nous avons appelé et expliqué la situation. La personne au téléphone nous a simplement demandé « pourquoi vous venez ? » au lieu de proposer une solution.

Après avoir expliqué, on nous a dit de garer la voiture dans un parking public. Finalement, nous avons décidé d’annuler la réservation via Booking et avons clairement dit que nous ne souhaitions plus venir. La dame nous a répondu « d’accord », mais l’annulation n’a jamais été faite.

C’est inacceptable. Vous avez gardé 140 € sans fournir aucun service.
C’est du vol, un service client lamentable, et une vraie arnaque.
Nous mettrons une note de 0/5. Vous avez gagné de l’argent de manière totalement injuste. Honte à vous.

Joli lieu très bien placé. Chambre très spacieuse et très bien équipée mais pas de douche et du bruit venant de la terrasse de la brasserie

We loved our huge room (and bathroom!) and the location was convenient to everything. The breakfast was top notch! We didn’t eat dinner at either restaurant but they both looked amazing.

A couple of notes that kept it from being perfect:
1) 66 stairs to the third floor. Not an issue for us but could be for some people
2) one day the cleaning folks left our room unlocked after they cleaned
3) we had great towels at first but when they were replaced the quality of the new towels was sub-par
4) significant noise levels in the alley below overnight.

An amazing building right in the old town, spacious rooms in a wonderful setting. Would have been interesting to read more about the history of the building but we didn't find anything. We couldn't check in until 3, so the staff very kindly took our bags up to room. The decor in the rooms was quite gloomy, it needed better lighting, especially in wardrobe where it was impossible to see! Neither us nor the staff could get the overcomplicated tap to work on the bath, so they swapped us to another room, which was even bigger with a lovely sitting room. Despite it having the biggest bathroom I have ever seen, it only had a bath, no shower. Bizarre. Breakfast was good but little things like no milk, water or butter put out (obvs they came when we asked for them).
None of these are massive things, but fixable niggles. I really hope they can improve as this could be a wonderful boutique hotel.

Clients du Rouge, nous ne sommes pas convaincus du bistrot Gigi. Les précisions souhaitées ne sont pas prises en compte. La salle n'est pas propice à la discrétion(tables trop proches), la baie sur la rue pas intimiste. Cuisine classique. Accueil à revoir, un merci à votre collaboratrice qui est seule à gérer le tout et qui est professionnelle.

Tout simplement sublime, on est traités comme des rois par le personnel. J’ai rarement été aussi bien accueillie dans un hôtel.

Je recommande le massage en duo et le restaurant gastronomique. Pour un weekend c’était parfait.

Chambre tres bruyante: bruit de basses tres desagreables toute la soirée! n’avons pas apprécié de na pas pouvoir déposer les bagages à l’hotel avec la voiture. Le diner au restaurant ( plats et service) était tres bien.

Un grand merci à toute l’équipe du Margaret pour ce séjour d’exception. Venus pour l’anniversaire de mon conjoint, nous avons été très touchés des attentions reçues pour cette occasion.

I’m so pleased I decided to have a 3 night stop here. The hotel is wonderful and the staff even better. All of the ladies just seemed to appear when I was wondering about something. It was very pleasant just sitting quietly in the courtyard or garden areas with a coffee of a drink. The staff would appear and ask what I’d like which was terrific. My room was glorious and so quiet. I also ate at Gigi which was great however the breakfast was a true delight. I’ve been traveling for 2 months and it’s the best scrambled eggs with crispy bacon ever !!||Such a restful spot in Nîmes. Step out the door and you have everything to see and do. Certainly go and see the Pont du Gard & obviously all that Nimes has, the Arena, gardens etc. Thanks to all at the Margaret Hotel for looking after me during my stay. I’d loved to return one day !!

Such a lovely, classy hotel! Our family room was huge and comfortable, the bathroom luxurious, with such nice Diptyque bath products. The staff was welcoming and friendly, especially the woman at breakfast the next morning. The breakfast was excellent, as well as dinner at restaurant Gigi. The staff at Gigi were also especially nice and helpful. Unfortunately Rouge was closed the day we were there, otherwise we would have liked to try it. Perhaps for our next stay in Nîmes (which would also definitely be at this hotel!).

Excellent séjour. 3 nuits passées à Nîmes à l’hôtel Margaret, dont nous garderons un très bon souvenir. Tout y était parfait. Le personnel est aux petits soins et discrets, chambre incroyable !! Nous recommanderons cet hôtel autour de nous.

Très bel hôtel, ancien et confortable, notre chambre, qui était très grande donnait sur "la rue de la soif" extrêmement bruyant jusqu'à 01h du matin. Le petit déjeuner est excellent. Malheureusement pas d'ascenseur , ce qui s'explique vu l'âge de l'immeuble.

Wir waren für zwei Übernachtungen in einer Suite mit Hund gereist. Die für den Hund vernaschlagten Mehrkosten wurde auch von vorn herein angeboten und berechnet. ||Nach Abreise wurden nochmals Mehrkosten für die Endreinigung abgebucht! Das ist unseriös und wird uns kein zweites Mal passieren. Abzocke!
