Just attended a wedding here and had to leave a review to comment on what a wonderful spot this is. It was a great venue for a wedding - incredibly picturesque - and the staff were incredible and really helped make it happen. The food was great, the Chateau's wine was lovely, the pool was sooo nice especially in the current heat wave France and much of Europe is experiencing, and it was overall a great experience. The only thing to keep in mind when coming here is that other than the on-site restaurant, you're driving distance from any food, so I'd definitely rent a car if you want to sightsee and/or go elsewhere because while ubers and taxis are available they aren't cheap (like a 40-60EUR uber to go to or from the train station in Carcassonne, which adds up). We stopped at the Carrefour about a 15 min drive away and did a lot of cooking in our villa (Queribus which was so nice as long as you don't mind some stairs to get up there) while we were there for a five-day stay. I wish we could have stayed longer and hope to come back and visit again someday soon!

The team did a fantastic job caring for us as we were there for our son’s wedding. Everyone was personable and attentive, food was was amazing and the venue was picturesque. Stephan and Lucy were amazing. Loved our stay!

I was just at Chateau Villarlong for a wedding weekend. The venue is amazingly beautiful. ❤️ Staff is friendly and helpful; they even learned how to make special drinks for the cocktail hour and about a new sport to them - pickleball. Their wine is lovely and plentiful. The food was tasty from the continental breakfast buffet to the nightly multi-course dinners. The pool was refreshing and large enough for sports with plenty of comfortable seating for those wanting to sit in the sun. The grounds were beautiful to explore. Best of all was the Chateau's cat Elvis who seemed to love everyone!

Un restaurant vraiment succulent dans un cadre merveilleux. Tout était parfait dans les assiettes comme nos verres. Le cuisinier est vraiment génial ainsi que le service . Tout est soigné et les produits mis en avant de qualité. Je recommande vivement

Chateau Villarlong is magical place that we will return to time and again. The rooms are magnificent and the restaurant is fantastic.

I recently stayed at Château Villarlong and I can honestly say it's the most beautiful place I’ve ever been.

The welcome was warm and personal, making us feel instantly at home.

The grounds are absolutely stunning, the decor throughout the property is exquisite, both breakfast and dinner were perfect and the bathtub in our room absolutely incredible.

We actually tried to book the same room for the following weekend... but it was already taken. That says it all.
Can’t wait to come back!

We kwamen hier om uit te rusten en dat is heel goed gelukt! Het kasteel is schitterend gelegen in het landschap. In de directe omgeving is veel natuur en het is erg rustig. Iedere ochtend werd vers brood bij ons appartement bezorgd. We hebben ook geweldig lekker gegeten in het restaurant.

We had a great stay in the Lastours app in April. Our daughter was really happy so stay in a real chateau. great staff, enjoyed our breakfast and dinner and good advice given to explore the region: Carcassonne, Narbonne, chateaux de Lastours, Gruissan, abbeye de Fontfroide,… so much to do and don’t forget to taste the wine of their vineyards !!!

We landed in Carcassonne on a rainy October afternoon, a winding tiny road and night falling down so early were not very promising.
Until we arrived at the castle. Where the past was so genuinely married to the present.
There were things that hook you and take your breath away, but do not steal your freedom. There were plenty of bright autumn colours but they did not overshadow the simplicity and space. There were a bit of everything of what you would dream about. It felt truly magical then and still feels so six months later.

Un séjour génial dans un cadre magnifique.
Le château est splendide, rénové avec goût mais en gardant l’authenticité d’époque.
Notre appartement (Peyrepertuse) était somptueux, très propre et lumineux.
Les alentours du châteaux sont tout aussi beaux. Une piscine avec une vue à couper le souffle, des jardins digne d’un vrai château et des ruines à visiter pleines d’histoire.
Marlin et son staff sont très accueillant et aux petits soins.
Si vous cherchez le calme, un séjour nature, et l’histoire, cette vie de châtelain est faite pour vous.
Merci Marlin ???????????????? Nous reviendrons sans hésiter pour découvrir les autres appartements.

Beautiful chateau and grounds. Lovely staff. One of our favourite spots and so dog friendly. Would love to return in summer to really make use of the pool and the lawn.. just a pleasure to visit and stay :)

Lieu exceptionnel chargé d'histoire, rénové avec beaucoup de goût et disposant de tout le confort nécessaire, en plein milieu de la nature. Accueil très chaleureux et sympathique. Ce fut un week-end hors du temps, difficile d'en repartir ! Merci encore, nous reviendrons!

Moment absolument parfait au château Villarlong. Nous avons été particulièrement bien accueillis et installés dans des logements confortables et spacieux. L’entretien du château est à la hauteur du lieu. Nous avons passé un très agréable moment en famille. À très vite.

Ein Traum, das Château und die Zimmer sind einfach umwerfend. Zum Abschalten perfekt. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Alle sind sehr freundlich. Wir kommen wieder.
