Une expérience incroyable au Logis de la Cadène ! Cadre magnifique, service attentionné, et des plats d’une grande finesse. Chaque assiette est un concentré de saveurs, avec des sauces absolument délicieuses. Un vrai moment de bonheur

OUI ! ENCORE ! Je prends rarement le temps de commenter mes expériences gastronomiques mais ici .. comme un temps suspendu .. je m'arrête pour crier ! Crier un grand OUI et un grand ENCORE !
envoyez auprès du Chef Thibaut Gamba tous les cuisiniers stagiaires de France pour perfectionner leur approche des sauces, la délicatesse des accords, et le goût ! tout simplement. Des émotions variées sur chaque plat, un cadre enchanteur et une équipe de service à l'écoute et aux petits soins.. je m'engage à crier encore et encore pour la table du Logis de la cadène à Saint-Emilion et le voyage offert par le chef Thibaut Gamba et toute son équipe !!! brillant .. à glisser impérativement sur toutes les bucket listes

We had high expectations for our dinner at Logis de la Cadène, given its Michelin star and reputation as one of the premier dining destinations in Saint-Émilion. The setting itself is lovely — a charming, historic building in the heart of the village, with a warm and elegant atmosphere that sets the stage beautifully. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not quite live up to what we had hoped for.

The food was, frankly, just so-and-so. While the plating was beautiful and clearly crafted with care, the flavors and execution felt underwhelming and somewhat forgettable, especially when judged against the high standard you expect from a Michelin-starred kitchen. Nothing we tasted stood out as exceptional, and some dishes even felt flat in terms of seasoning and creativity.

What really disappointed us, though, was the level of service. In a restaurant of this caliber, the service should be attentive, polished, and almost intuitive — making you feel cared for without being intrusive. Instead, it felt inconsistent and inattentive, with long waits between courses, staff who seemed rushed or distracted, and little of the warmth or finesse you expect from fine dining. This lack of attention to detail in the service really took away from the experience.

On a positive note, the sommelier was excellent. He was knowledgeable, personable, and made thoughtful recommendations that complemented the meal well. His expertise and approach were a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing evening.

All in all, the meal felt overpriced for what was delivered — both in terms of the food and the experience. A Michelin star carries a promise of excellence, and unfortunately, Logis de la Cadène fell short of that promise for us. With more care in the kitchen and, above all, much more attentive and polished service, it could truly shine. But as it is now, it feels more like you’re paying for the name and the setting rather than for a truly memorable dining experience.

Perfect experience from start to finish! Friendly staff, beautiful patio and local fresh ingredients! If you have a wine tasting to go to, they will let you know which menus take what amount of time so you can enjoy your meal in a relaxed manner and also make your appointment. Highly recommend!

We had high expectations for this restaurant in the historic centre of St Emilion, however we were disappointed.
We were given a table
Outdoors, as there was a large group inside which took all the tables. There was however a second, empty dining room, but we were told we couldn’t use it. Our table was too big for 6 people, it made it difficult to all talk to each other.
It was super hot under the cheap seats pastiche sheet and there were some insects. No fan was available.
The table had no tablecloth and the decor was awful, it certainly did not represent fine dining.
The food was very hit and miss: for example the goat cheese and balsamic vinegar dessert was awful, nobody ate it.
Definitely not worth the money. There are better restaurants in the area.
