Lard et Bouchon is a hidden gem. The owner speaks great English. He's friendly, efficient, always there when you need him without rushing you. Food is utterly stunning. Proper high quality French cooking and at a reasonable price. Beautiful interior, very romantic. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic meal made all the more special by the excellent owner! We haven't booked but managed to find a lovely little corner. The black pudding is the best I have ever tasted and I should know as I am Scottish, totally yummy, rich and unctuous. We also ate snails which were delicious and a cheese board to finish. Wine throughout, enjoyed lots of different glasses of red wine which our host brought over every time we asked for more???????? ????. A great experience. Highly recommend. I'm still talking about my black pudding. Happy days.

Can't remember the name of the dish, but it was pork with foie Gras.
Every bite was a journey.
The rest of the meal was also incredible, perfectly paired with beautiful wine from Saint emilion.
