Freundlichkeit scheint in Saint- Émilion rar zu sein - auf die Frage, ob wir einen Kaffee bestellen könnten, bekamen wir leider mit einem sehr arroganten Ton die Antwort, dass dies nicht ein Café sei, sondern ein Restaurant. Nachvollziehbar, aber der Ton macht die Musik. Wir hatten eigentlich den Tipp bekommen, dort Mittag essen zu gehen, sind aber im Nachhinein froh, unser Geld woanders ausgegeben zu haben.

Les plats étaient succulents. Le cadre est très beau et l'équipe très serviable. Je recommande chaleureusement.

2. The service was impeccable and they were very kind to everyone.
3. The food was very intelligently designed and the meals had a great flow.
- For example, the foie gras was strategically paired with an elegant ginger bread, which takes away a lot of the muskier “duck” notes and leaves behind just the decadent buttery flavors.
- The lamb was very marinated, slow cooked and served with delicate filo flakes that had sprinkles of cumin and other spices that also did the same. Sprinkled with fresh micro cilantro as well which balances the scent.
- The “gourmand” dessert is the 4X of all the best desserts mixed together plus a glass of their home-made rum.
Everything was cooked to perfection. Lots of flavor, not just presentation.
