Hopefully this review will replace many of the older ones on this site.|Sitting on the banks of the Midi Canal just some 6kms from Castelnaudary is this delightfully renovated Lock Keepers House. It is magic here and one can be as busy as you like or as lazy as you like in the peaceful surrounds of Plane trees, slow moving canal boats and comfortable seating outside near the lock. Just a warning: a lot of time is wasted watching the boats going through the lock ! (This is more commonly known as being a Gongoozler!)|The accommodation is on the first floor. There are three rooms which are all very comfortable. We had the Lavende Room which was delightful. There is a bar and small cafe/restaurant that serves an excellent food each lunch time and evening. It is advisable to advise the ladies if you are going to require a meal in the evening. And of course breakfast is included in the room rate.|The two ladies who run this B&B are delightful and ever so helpful. They have lots of local knowledge and can guide you to some of the many villages and towns in the area. Although they cater for the many bikers who pass this way and usually only stay one night; longer stays are advisable in order to totally relax and take in this peaceful part of the world.

Excellent accueil dans cette chambre d'hôte atypique au bord du canal du midi en face d'une écluse. |On y dort très bien et c'est très propre. Des moustiquaires aux fenêtres et au dessus du lit sont prévues car le logement se situe vraiment au bord de l'eau. |Les propriétaires sont adorables et accueillantes.|Le petit déjeuner est très bon (granola, fruits, yaourts, croissant, pain frais, confiture, café thé jus...)

ここは素晴らしい場所です！
部屋から実際に使っているミディ運河の水門を見る事が出来ます。
周りの景色も素晴らしく、夢のような場所です。
オーナーもとても優しく、いい方です。
朝食もとても美味しかったです。
又是非ここに戻って来たいです。

nous avons adoré passer la nuit dans cette maison éclusière au bord du Canal du Midi. Logement atypique.
Nous avons été très bien accueilli. Le cadre est très sympa, tout comme les 2 charmantes propriétaires. Les chambres sont bien équipées, propres. On a également apprécié la table d'hôte partagée avec un autre couple avec qui nous avons bien echangé. Le repas était très bon. Nous recommandons cet endroit sans hésitation
