Lovely and well maintained gardens, lots of easy pathways to take for a walk. Several excellent choices for a lunch in the park. We came on Monday when the palace was closed, intentionally to have a smaller crowd on the grounds.

Au téléphone et sur le site on nous indique qu'il est possible de sortir des jardins puis d'y rentrer à nouveau (entrée payante car grandes eaux musicales). Cependant dans la réalité on nous indique bien qu'il s'agit d'une sortie definitive

Den angepriesenen gratis Eintritt gibt es ausschließlich montags, dass ist aber auch der Tag an dem das Schloss geschlossen ist!
An allen anderen Tagen bezahlt man Eintritt um einen Teil der Gärten mit Bühnen, Zelten und ständen verstellt vorzufinden da irgendeine Musik Vorstellung stattfindet!
Wäre bestimmt sehenswert wenn man eine vernünftige Chance hätte, auch wenn man dies alles in Kauf nimmt steht man in einer ewigen Warteschlange !

Really large garden but not that interesting. Many fontaines were shut down or only switched on for a few minutes every hour or so.
You need to basically hike on some unpaved roads, but I see golf carts were provided with 40 euros/hour, or electrical bikes which cost 8/hour.

We paid the full price for the tickets, but the majority of fountains didn't work / were under maintenance. We saw just a couple of them working.
When we tried to download their app to check the fountain show schedule, it got crashed.
Overall, it is a great place with poor organization.

MÉPRISÉS : VISITEURS = POMPE A FRIC : Très mauvais accueil aux jardins du palais entrée par le bassin du char d’apollon. On arrive vers 11h40, la dame nous annonce une durée de 2h théorique de visite, et insiste car aujourd’hui est une journée spéciale « grandes eaux » donc tous les bassins sont « en eaux » (fontaines allumées) aujourd’hui. On se dit ok, on a 2h devant nous avant de partir, on paye l’entrée (12 euros par adulte). Et là, à peine rentrés, toutes les fontaines s’éteignent. Entre 12h et 14h tout est éteint. La dame de l’accueil ne nous a même pas prévenus alors qu’on lui avait expliqué qu’on ne savait pas rester. 24 euros pour voir toutes les fontaines éteintes alors qu’on venait pour cela expressément….. on s’est vraiment senti méprisés.

Very popular tourist destination.
Gardens Of Versatiles is a nice place for a peaceful stroll
It is a large garden with a number of fountains and statues. Multiple fountain shows are held throughout the day.
Orange trees are also planted in the gardens
Entry tickets are required. To avoid the inconvenience of long queues visitors are advised to purchase tickets in advance.
Public access to this tourist site is good.
