Cela faisait longtemps que je ne m'étais plus rendue dans ce restaurant. Il est toujours aussi incroyable en terme d'ambiance: les petites portes, les murs épais, le feu dans la cheminée, le fond musical...
J'ai, en revanche, été un peu déçue par la cuisine, un peu moins goûteuse que dans mon souvenir

There were good bits, but there were too many bad bits for me. The food quality and flavours were inconsistent - 1 good, 1 bad, 1 normal. The wait for food was frankly ridiculous. Mains arrived well over 1 hour after the starters. The atmosphere also reflected this with hungry diners all around. By the time my food came, it was luke warm at best, it also did not taste nice. I would've sent it back, but I was so hungry, and the shops/other restaurants would have been closed at this point. I made the waiter aware of this, but if you're wondering if there was any deduction in the bill, there wasn't. I was just happy to get out of there, to be honest.
I think there must've been one waiter and one chef. The waiter was pleasant, so I feel a bit bad writing the review, but overall, it was an unpleasant experience.
There was some good food, so it was not exactly a tourist trap, but I wouldn't recommend going if you want (reliably) tasty/hot food, good service, and appropriately priced food.

We were very excited to try this restaurant after all the really good reviews, but sadly we were very disappointed.

The atmosphere and ambiance was a lovely, however we had a few issues:
- The wrong main course dish was given to one member of the group (pork instead of cod), the service staff seemed almost angry when we explained this wasn't the dish ordered. It meant 1 person in the group had to wait 10-15 minutes for a new dish to be made, so ate alone.
- The beef mains were cold, we asked for them to be re-heated and just the plate was heated and the food remained cold

Given the complete wrong dish was served, we would have expected an apology from service staff at the very least, or more appropriately something complimentary as an apology.

As we had treated ourselves to dinner at Le Coupe-Chou, we were sadly very disappointed with our experience.

Cadre classique très agréable, vielle bâtisse parisienne avec cheminée.
Bonne qualité des plats, manque d’accompagnement pour la côte de cochon, les accompagnements supplémentaires sont à un prix exorbitants. Assiette de 3 fromages trop chers pour la quantité.
Pas testé les desserts.

Heerlijk gegeten, de eend was een echte aanrader. Gerechten met verrassende smaakcombinaties. Heerlijk sfeertje met open haard, net geen vijf sterren omdat we aan de tafel bij de ingang zaten en het door het openslaan van de deur naar de keuken daar tochtte. Dat snapten we ook wel weer want we kwamen op de bonnefooi binnen. Aan te raden om te reserveren dus, vooral bij de haard of achterin!

I’ve been coming to Le Coupe-Chou since 2008 when I was just a student on Le Cordon Bleu Paris, it used to be my favorite restaurant in town. I was kind disappointed to see that so much has changed since my last visit a few years back… The place is still absolutely beautiful but the food its definitely not the same. The menu still looks nice but when the food arrived it was totally not Le Coupe Chou worth. The starters were just ok, but main course was totally off, the duck magret was tough and when I mentioned that to the staff he told me that that’s how duck is and that’s how they serve it, not very professional. I give the 3 stars mainly for the location.

Ambiance très sympa dans une maison ancienne avec poutres apparentes et grandes cheminées, qui malheureusement ne sont alimentées en bois qu’en début de soirée.
Deux coupes d’un bon champagne pour commencer.
Le restaurant est calme et peu bruyant. Coté cuisine il y a du bon et moins bon. Rien à dire sur les entrées. Concernant les plats, la joue de bœuf est excellente et le reste est dans la moyenne. En dessert, le fondant au chocolat ne fond pas du tout et se présente sous la forme d’un bloc compact. Le goût est là mais c’est tout. La crème brûlée ne fait que 5mm d’épaisseur, ce qui est dommage car elle très bonne également. Service très correct mais impersonnel. Donc du bon et du moins bon pour une addition un peu au dessus de la moyenne. À vous de voir ce que vous privilégiez.

The razor clams were delicious for a starter. The duck was perfect. Finished off with an incredible chocolate and cherry fondant. The staff had wine pairing recommendations that really delivered. Then headed to the sitting room to enjoy a cappuccino. Best meal I had in Paris.

Cena ottima. Conoscevo già questo ristorante e non mi ha deluso. L'atmosfera è molto raccolta; il ristorante è diviso in varie stanze, ognuna con una sua peculiarità. Cibo strepitoso. Complimenti!
