Très bon accueil.
L'américano, cocktail bien connu est délicieux. Le barman le check devant nous et c'est plutôt amusant de le voir faire !

The place is beautiful, and the drinks are excellent. But service is not at the level of the place. They try to be very exclusive and that makes the service look plastic and distant. We where a group of 6 and they made us stay at the bar because we where not members even though there were free tables. That is not the kind of service that you are expecting of this kind of places. Regrettable because I was inviting some all time friends and the impression was quite bad.

Incredible upscale and cozy atmosphere with very friendly service. The drinks were unique and very well made. This is a perfect cozy spot for a cocktail night!

We have been loyal patrons of Bar Bibliothèque for many years, cherishing the wonderful memories we’ve made here. This bar has consistently been our favorite spot in Paris, a place we proudly shared with visitors from abroad. Its beautifully furnished, serene lounge setting and sublime ambiance have always set it apart.

Unfortunately, the service has recently fallen short of the high standard this magical place deserves. It pains me to write a negative review, but I feel compelled to do so in hopes of seeing this beloved bar return to the exceptional experience it once provided.

The staff's lack of professionalism and rude attitude made us feel uncomfortable and out of place. At an upscale venue, we expected at least the basic standards of service, such as:
-Ensuring all guests receive their drinks at the same time to provide a seamless experience.
-Paying attention to orders, especially when the bar is not busy, instead of repeatedly forgetting them.
-Addressing customer concerns calmly and professionally, rather than arguing loudly and trying to prove us wrong, which only escalated the situation.

Unfortunately, the demeanor and tone of the staff detracted from what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

I’ve visited the Bar Bibliothèque at St. James Hotel a few times, and unfortunately, the service can be quite inconsistent. While the space itself is beautiful and the bar is often empty, the staff sometimes make guests wait for extended periods before allowing them in. On some visits, I’ve been able to walk in without any issues, but on other occasions, I’ve been told to wait for what feels like an unnecessarily long time—despite there being plenty of open seats. The experience seems to vary depending on who is working that day. It’s frustrating to not know what to expect in terms of service, especially given the upscale atmosphere. While I enjoy the setting, the service definitely needs improvement.
