A classic Persian experience!
The owner served us in this stunning small restaurant. You could tell he was passionate and proud of his business.
I believe he is the same man who interviewed with Anthony Bourdain during one of his Paris trips!
We went with the chef recommendations and were not disappointed.
The pigeon was the highlight of the meal, cooked perfectly in a red wine glaze.

Unfortunately the restaurant did not honour the booking, despite us having booked via its own website in the manner instructed. The restaurant appears to have been aware of the booking, as we later received an email from the booking service asking us for feedback.

Außergewöhnlich gutes Essen, sehr nette Betreiber und super Vino. Wer nicht gerne in einer Kette isst, gemütliche und authentische Atmosphäre genießt, ist hier genau richtig. Das Menü handgeschrieben und die Gerichte alle wirklich perfekt zubereitet. Wir waren begeistert!

We came back to Je Thé Me after having celebrated our engagement here, some 20 years ago, and it hasn't changed a bit. It's a solid value in a changing world. Formerly an upscale grocery store selling teas, wines and other edibles, it became a restaurant in 1985. The same owner runs it now! Traditional menu offering daily specials. Ok for vegetarians and pescatarians. **Open during the 2024 Paris Olympic Games**

It was my first time dining there, as I came from the USA. The owner hosted me. My first question was whether they stayed open late, as I wanted to enjoy my dinner. The answer was, "Yes, absolutely."

There were many people sitting, and after a while, when I was eating and checking my phone, the owner came and told me to stop playing on my phone and hurry up with my dinner. This really shocked me. I didn't expect such unprofessional behavior, especially from the owner. This is not in line with French etiquette.

I left without eating my desserts. Next time, if you want to close early, don't invite people in.

This is a cozy restaurant with amazing traditional French food, beautifully prepared. Very relaxed atmosphere. Charming owner. Menu changes daily and is presented on a chalkboard. Highly recommend, worth the trip, not touristy.

Un bistro comme on les aime … Hors du temps, et donc paradoxalement très parisien. Une cuisine traditionnelle de qualité, une ardoise courte et efficace, une décoration typique de ces vieux restaurants qui perdurent et traversent quelques époques, un service honnête et sans chichi. Pas de carte des vins ? Vous n’en aurez pas besoin : vous pouvez vous fier aux conseils du patron, il connaît son affaire … Bref, on s’y est sentis comme dans tout bon bistro : comme chez nous.

un bon bistrot de quartier comme on les aime. un cuisine bien maîtrisée, et familiale. des vins de qualité… bref on passe un bon moment avec le patron qui est charmant par ailleurs! je recommande a 100%. Question prix… en ligne avec les prix élevés de Paris!

Excellent petit restaurant du XVe arrondissement ! Nous y avons déjeuné à l’occasion de la célébration de notre PACS, en amoureux ; l’ambiance est très calme (un restaurant où l’on s’entends parler) et le décor est tout simplement superbe ! Le propriétaire est charmant, connaît ses vins et sa cuisine et est de très bon conseil. Entrées, plats et desserts, tout était excellent, frais, délicat et très bien maîtrisé, je recommande vivement l’expérience !!! 134€ à deux, il y a de quoi se faire plaisir pour une belle occasion (et même plus encore). Penser toutefois à bien réserver, surtout le soir.

J'ai trouvé bizarre que ce restaurant ait autant de bonnes critiques. La nourriture est décente et les portions sont bonnes. Cependant, c'est un peu cher pour le quartier. On peut facilement trouver des plats plus sophistiqués ou plus intéressants dans la même gamme de prix.
De plus, nous n'avons pas apprécié de nous rendre compte qu'une bouteille d'eau coûtait 10 euros. On a l'impression d'être victime d'une arnaque"
