Un immense merci à Ouaffa et Daniel pour leur accueil exceptionnel au Manoir de la Malartrie. Ce séjour a été un pur bonheur du début à la fin. On a été accueillis avec une gentillesse rare, dans un cadre absolument enchanteur.

Le manoir est splendide, plein de charme et idéalement situé au bord de la Dordogne. Les chambres sont magnifiques, décorées avec goût, confortables, et respirent la sérénité. C’est un endroit où l’on se sent instantanément apaisé.

Et que dire du petit déjeuner légendaire d’Ouaffa ? Fait maison, savoureux, généreux, avec une attention aux détails qui fait toute la différence. Un vrai moment de plaisir chaque matin !

Grâce à la localisation parfaite, on a pu visiter des châteaux exceptionnels à moins de 20 minutes : Castelnaud, Beynac, Marqueyssac, La Roque-Gageac… tout était à portée de main, et chaque visite était un émerveillement.

Merci du fond du cœur à Ouaffa et Daniel pour leur bienveillance, leur passion et cette belle énergie qu’ils partagent avec leurs hôtes.
On repart avec des souvenirs plein la tête, le cœur léger, et l’envie de revenir très vite.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Manior de la Malartrie in May 2025, during a 3-week tour of France. We both agree that our stay at the Manior was the highlight of our trip. The location is ideal, there is plentiful private parking, and the rooms, grounds and common areas are impeccably maintained. Ouafaa is such a gracious host - she carted our luggage to our suite, helped with dinner reservations, and even hosted an evening get-together for all of the guests. And the daily breakfast spread was simply the best I have ever experienced in all my years of traveling. We highly recommend this property, and can’t wait to return ourselves. Thank you Ouaffa!

Right as we were arriving, a quick windstorm came up. The host and her family ran out, at their own risk, to make sure we got inside safely. What warmth and care! And then had us in their kitchen for a recovery glass of rose, with slices of the best smoked duck ever. As others have said, Oaffa’s breakfasts are worth skipping dinner the night before for. Moroccan stewed vegetables, dates, crepes to order, walnut cake . . . I just wished it wouldn’t end. |So sad to leave! Hoping to come back and hopefully Oaffa will teach a Moroccan cooking class to her guests!!

Wafa and her family have created this unique experience in the most picturesque location. The manoir has been lovingly restored as very comfortable and tasteful accommodation, nestled at the base of dramatic cliffs and manicured gardens, with the beautiful Dordogne river flowing just across the road.
Wafa’s home cooked breakfasts were such a highlight. Her Moroccan cooking (grandma’s recipes) was hearty and healthy, and we have never been treated to such a spectacularly delicious breakfast buffet anywhere else.
Swimming in the Dordogne river during the intense heat was a lovely experience.
Wafa even woke early for our early morning departure to serve us a coffee before we left.

A stunning and stylish property. We wished we had been there for longer!|The property is charming and the rooms are beautiful, with so many thoughtful touches including fresh flowers, quality linens, Clarins toiletries, bathrobes …|The breakfast was amazing - so much choice and all delicious.|The pool and gardens are lovely. The hostess is charming and nothing is too much trouble.

The rooms, the location, the gardens and terraces, the host, and the breakfasts at the Manoir de la Malatrie were beyond our expectations. Our entire time spent here was fantastic. Having our wine and cheese each evening on a terrace overlooking the river and the river valley was an amazing end to each day. Ouafaa is truly a lovely host who cares about her guests and her beautiful guest home.

This is a converted chateau located on the Dordogne River in Vezac. It has old world charm with all the modern conveniences. Each room is different, so it is hard to make comparisons. The room we had was very spacious with a balcony overlooking the river. It had a fabulous bathroom with shower and tub. The owner was extremely gracious and cordial and prepared the most spectacular breakfasts.

Ouafaa seems to be tirelessly working seven days a week, yet she always greets guests with a calm, joyful demeanor and a beautiful smile. During our stay, we saw her cutting fresh dahlias to decorate the rooms and breakfast tables, and roasting bell peppers in the garden for her homemade harissa. The entire setting, paired with her energy and kindness, is exactly what you’d imagine in a perfect idyll.

On our arrival day, the sun came out, and I casually mentioned how tempting the outdoor pool looked. Even though it had been turned off for the season, they immediately put out towels and started warming the pool—a gesture that truly embodies their level of care and attentiveness. They also hosted aperitif gatherings for guests to meet and exchange travel tips, with delicious food and wine to enjoy.

Just two hours into our stay, my mother turned to me and asked if we could extend our stay by a day—and luckily, we were able to! It was the best decision we made. The location is perfect for activities, with the boat ride, Marqueyssac Gardens, and great restaurants all within walking distance.

I truly can’t say enough about how wonderful Manoir De La Malartrie and its hosts are. Every detail, from the warm hospitality to the beautiful surroundings, made this stay unforgettable. We will absolutely return, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, charming getaway in the Dordogne Valley.

It was amazing and I would come back just for breakfast, but it was so much more than that with amazing views and beautiful scenery. We loved the location as well with it close by to all the beautiful towns. The service was amazing as well! Many thanks to Ouafaa!

Ouafaa is such an amazing and kind host, I was very impressed with her service. The grounds of this mansion are beautiful and serene, rooms are very charming. The breakfast spread was easily the best out of all the places we stayed at. We only stayed 3 nights but it is worth coming back for more. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!

We had such an enjoyable stay. The breakfast is phenomenal. The hosts are so kind and speak English well. The grounds are breathtaking. They had CLARINS products for toiletries which blew me away. The views are stunning. The location to town is convenient since there is a private path to town. I can’t even begin to express how magical this place is. If they have an availability when you’re in this area just book it. You won’t regret it. I promise. I’d go back a thousand times.

We stayed here for 2 nights in September and were so impressed with our experience. It felt like a dream as Ouafaa gave us the initial tour of the grounds. Ouafaa speaks English, so that was very helpful. Her breakfasts were wonderful, our room was well-appointed, felt very private, and no detail was overlooked. If you’re going to stay in the Dordogne area, THIS is the place to stay. Very easy (and beautiful) walk to the town/restaurants, and right on the river. I cannot recommend Manoir de la Malartrie more! If we come back to the area there is nowhere else I will be staying.

De ces trois jours passés au Manoir de la Malartrie, au delà du confort et de la beauté du lieu, nous garderons en tête ces multiples détails qui font la différence. Comme ce jardin extraordinaire quasi suspendu, ce point de vue à 180°, sur la Dordogne et la Roque Gageac, et ce somptueux petit déjeuner servi dans le parc du Manoir.|Mais un lieu, fut il hors du commun, doit être habité et animé pour lui donner vie. Ouafaa, hôtesse des lieux, s’y emploie avec charme, empathie et efficacité. |Merci encore. |Nous reviendrons.

My family stayed at the manor for 3 nights in July and it was an unbelievable treat. The owner was delightful - so helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic with easy access to the river, a short pedestrian-only walk into town, and easy drives to local sites. The manor and the grounds are exceptional. The interior is luxuriously decorated and immaculately clean but unpretentious. Our room was enormous. The pool and garden were relaxing and lovely as well. We appreciated having access to the shared kitchen to store and prepare our light meals. In summary, our stay at the manor was as close to perfect as possible.

Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par la propriétaire et avons été touchés par la beauté du lieu. Notamment par la splendeur du jardin entretenu avec soin. ||La chambre « Les Milandes » qui nous a été gentiment proposée est spacieuse, charmante et offre une vue imprenable sur le jardin, la ville et permet également de profiter d’un agréable lever du soleil. Rien de tel que de se poser au bord de la piscine avec un bon livre, ou d’apprécier un verre de vin sur une ancienne tour de guet avec vue sur la Dordogne. ||En bref, parfait pour se ressourcer, profiter du calme et de la beauté de la région. Tout cela n’aurait pas été possible sans la gentillesse et la bienveillance des propriétaires qui s’occupent à merveille de cet unique domaine. Encore merci pour ce séjour !

We have just returned from a fantastic week staying at Chateau de la Malartrie. The property is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. The inside is better than the photos suggest. The bedrooms are all very comfortable with great bathrooms and comfortable beds. The kitchen is very well equiped with decent equipment for cooking, we had 16 people staying and had no problems catering for this number. There are nice restaurants and shops a short walk away and canoeing on your door step. The hosts are very helpul as is the catertaker. I am sure we will come back one day.

Brilliant hotel underpinned by the excellent hosts.

Location is superb being a ten minute walk into the village and a one minute walk to an area by the river you can have a relaxed meal / drink.

Ouafaa the host will help with all restaurant booking (including the excellent Michelin restaurant in the village).

Ouafaa also advised on hiring bikes locally which was excellent and a great way to explore.

Lastly, the hotel and rooms are a perfect combination of fitting the period and modern luxury. We used the pool area and extensive gardens to sit and have breakfast / a drink every day.

We were a couple but families were also staying and hotel, grounds, location work for all.

The hospitality, the welcome, the kindness, the professionalism, the amazing design combined with maximum comfort, a breathtaking view, a perfect breakfast and above all the attitude and kindness of the charming owners that make sure all the time that your stay will be the best that can be.

Make that 10 stars. This place gets 5 stars just for its gardens. We stayed in the Ginkgo suite and it was perfect. The breakfast is wonderful as well.
