It’s in a beautiful location, with lots to see and do. Very relaxing for us and our dog as the river which flows alongside the campsite is accessible via a gate, and once through he was able to be off lead. Being very shallow the river was enjoyed by swimmers and dogs alike. Tour boats and canoes were a frequent sight. Then just next to the site are fields which stretch to the next village, within walking distance, and away from the road, so again the dog could be off lead. Hot air balloons were visible most days, some dropping down within a few feet from the river, then up and off again.
We met a couple who’d been going to the campsite every year for 37 years, and seen the transformation to what it is now.
The facilities are clean and first class, the owner and his staff are friendly and helpful. We shall definitely be returning every year ourselves.
