This exquisitely-appointed facility has all the modern comforts spaciously outfitted in a delightful complex of historic structures. And, it's location within the historic core of the village is phenomenal!|And, the on-site management is always willing to help and offer sugestions.

We stayed in the Montesquieu apartment, with 2 bedrooms each with queen-size bed, for 5 nights. The apartment was charming and comfortable, with a salon area, dining area and small kitchenette (stove, fridge, dishwasher, no oven). The balcony (featured in the movie The Duellists) was fantastic! It was a great base for us to visit the Dordogne Noir, including the Vezere Valley and the Dordogne Valley.|The apartment is in the pedestrian area of Sarlat, so the parking is at least a 5minute walk away. Dropping off our luggage, and also loading up the car on way out was a bit complicated, so don't wait till the last minute to figure it out! The hotel sent me 2 emails with explanations right before our arrival, so keep an eye out for that.|Since this is technically a gite, there is not 24/24 reception, but they have a system to get your keys from a code-locked box if you arrive after reception closes, so again read the email from them!

I was very happy with the spacious and well designed apartment. While a small residence the staff were always available and extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was perfectly sufficient, though given the price not abundant. The location is perfect and the town offers all within an easy walking distance.

If you opt for the continental breakfast there is a good choice of pastries, rolls, yogurt, fruit etc with a help yourself hot drink machine.
The staff are so helpful and friendly and booked several excursions and arranged taxis for me. Thank you Valentin and Clois. I hope to return one day.
