We travelled as an extended family group (6 adults and 5 children) from Australia and spent an amazing week at Chateau La Carrière. The chateau was extremely well fitted out, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Our kids loved the pool, table tennis, cinema and spacious grounds to roam. We loved exploring the nearby towns and could have easily spent another week doing so! A huge thanks to Amelie and Josh who were amazing hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they really made our week run smoothly. I’d highly recommend Chateau La Carriere!

Had a truly magical week at Chateau La Carrière with our extended family. The castle is just amazing but also has everything you need for a large group to be comfortable for the week. The brand newly renovated pool was a lovely and warm 26C and provided for so many magical evenings swimming with the kids. Amelie and Josh were wonderful hosts - happy to help with anything we needed and such lovely people.
There was so much to explore in the surrounding areas that we kept very busy for the week we stayed.

Outstanding vacation at Chateau La Carriere! I would give it 6 stars if I could! This fairytale-like castle is absolutely beautiful, spotless clean and well maintained. The grounds are beyond enchanting. Amelie and Josh, the awesome caretakers, are a fantastic duo who took exceptional care of our group of 12 in every possible way. They made us feel very welcome and ensured that we were most comfortable throughout our stay, no matter what. This is a superb vacation rental; a truly magical place with charming and kind hosts. All the nearby villages are just lovely and the locals super friendly. The castle is in a premium Dordogne location, within a very short drive to countless famous/superb sites and activities, including medieval towns, fortresses, prehistoric caves, museums, boat rides, amazing food and wine, etc.; in a nutshell, this is a tourist paradise! I recommend this place wholeheartedly to even the pickiest travelers without any reservation. It is impossible not to fall in love with this Chateau and the Dordogne region after visiting... We'll be back for sure!

Séjour en famille exceptionnel dans un cadre magnifique ! Le château allie le charme de l’ancien et le confort moderne. Accueil chaleureux, service irréprochable, tout est fait pour qu’on s’y sente bien. Un vrai coup de cœur que je recommande vivement !

Très bon accueil dans ce beau château typique de la Dordogne! Les chambres sont confortables et spacieuses , le cadre est magnifique avec un immense parc, une belle piscine .
Un bar avec sono et jeux et une salle de ciné pour les soirées sympas!
Bref un très bon séjour entre amis

Un séjour agréable. Un accueil au top. Josh et Amélie sont très très sympas.
Quand aux repas c’était digne d’un très bon resto.Le pub et la salle de cinéma. Je recommande.

Moment d’excellence à tous points de vue !
Le cadre est magique,. Amélie et Joschua nous ont merveilleusement accueillis, toujours disponible à n’importe quel moment..
Le château est délicieusement decoré pour s’y sentir bien .
Rien ne manque pour confectionner de bons petits plats.
Nous avons pu profiter du jacuzzi ainsi que de la salle de cinéma qui est superbe sans oublier le pub où nous avons partagé de bons moments.

Recently renovated swimming pool was enjoyed by all of us.
Amelie and Josh were charming and friendly hosts and very helpful.
The chateau can easily accommodate large groups.
Additionally the Dordogne region is a terrific area to explore with so much to do and see for all age groups.
