Adding another well-deserved 5-star review to the pile! Richard and Philippe have created a little paradise at La Belle Demeure, and when you join them you feel welcomed like dear friends. I really can’t put into words how lovely this place is and how they have thought of every little detail for your comfort and enjoyment. For example, we were on a self-guided cycling tour through Aquitaine bikes (which was also excellent) and our arrival day was very hot. Richard messaged me to recommend a delightful local swimming hole where we could stop and cool off en route. The family suite was airy and spacious, with a veranda looking out onto the garden and pool. Dinner was delicious—we ate there our first night and then instantly reserved our second night too. We tend to be a bit shy when sharing a table with strangers, but thanks to Richard and Philippe, this felt like a fun dinner party. Book this place—you won’t regret it.

Un grand merci à Philippe et Richarc pour le super accueil pendant notre séjour à la Belle Demeure. On a passé des moments géniaux. Les repas étaien délicieux - un vrai régal à chaque fois !La piscine tombait à pic après nos journées d'excursion sous le soleil. Ce plongeon rafraîchissant était exactement ce qu'il nous fallait pour nous détendre. Leur gentillesse et bonne humeur ont rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. The perfect stay! Richard and Phillipe have created a slice of heaven in their beautiful village and corner of France. Coming from hotel backgrounds, they really understand what matters and leave no detail outstanding. Our room was so well appointed there was nothing to critique other than to say "Magnifique"! My husband and I also come from the hospitality industry and can confirm they are very special hosts and a visit hear will not disappoint! 5 star cooking by them as well and we were so happy not to leave and enjoy dinner at their beautiful home. Highly recommend staying! We could have stayed more than our 4 nights!

On the recommendation of friends my husband and I recently stayed at La Belle Demeure for five nights at the end of an around the world trip; and we're so glad we did! Richard, Philippe and Lennox their beautiful Golden Retriever make guests feel welcome, comfortable and cared for in their lovely home. Every need is anticipated and provided for with great attention to detail. We enjoyed delicious meals that were expertly created using local produce, and we always looked forward to pre-dinner drinks, also made in house from local ingredients. Not only are Richard and Philippe outstanding and professional hosts they are warm, friendly and great conversationalists. Lennox is a very well mannered boy who added to our enjoyment.||We could not have chosen a better place to stay!

A beautiful property in a fabulous location. Our stay was made all the more special by the fabulous hosts who are helpful, fun, great cooks and have a tremendous attention to every detail. They pampered us with their comfortable rooms, beautiful pool, terrace and great dinners!

We had an absolutely amazing time at La Belle Demeure, in the beautiful Dordogne.

Our room was great, beautifully presented and very stylish! Richard, Philippe and Lennox were amazing hosts - we were looked after incredibly well by them!

The food was absolutley superb, much of it locally sourced.

La Belle Demure is in a lovely part of the world, and we enjoyed visits to various chateaux, local towns nearby, we hired bikes, and kayaked the Dordogne river. We had a few glasses of wine too!!

We will be back, thanks to Richard and Philippe, and of course Lennox!!

We spent three nights at Belle Demeure with Philippe, Richard and Lennox the dog on our drive through the regions of France. Was the best B&B we stayed at by far. Richard and Philippe made us feel at home from start to finish, and after a long day seeing the sights of the Perigord we could relax by the pool with a drink and have dinner with our hosts and other|Guest. Which was great as many of the local restaurants were closed Monday and Tuesday nights. The other guests had been returning to Belle Demeure for many years and it was easy to see why. Many thanks Philippe, Richard and Lennox for your hospitality, and making our stay one we will look back on with fond memories.|Tanya and Patrick.

????: Une magnifique demeure dans un cadre enchanteur. Accueil très chaleureux et professionnel de Richard et Philippe. Ils nous ont donnés beaucoup de conseils pour optimiser nos visites à proximité (Les jardins de Marqueyssac, Chateau des Milandes, les superbes villages et bastides du coin).
Petit-déjeuners copieux, variés et délicieux. Table d'hôtes à privilégier absolument pour la qualité des mets et les surprises culinaires. Bravo !.

Great three night stay at Richard and Philippe’s B&B. They both made our holiday very special with their interesting conversations and knowledge of the region. They were always there to help plan or book activities or restaurants. |The room was perfect, with a comfortable bed. |The highlight was the evening meals that Richard prepared for us. Imaginative use of local ingredients made it all the more special. Finally have to mention the lovely golden retriever Lennox. It was a joy to play with him on the terrace.

We have traveled for decades throughout the US and Europe. This wonderful B & B is on the top of our list for a fabulous place to stay and will be a lifetime memory. Richard and Philippe are beyond gracious hosts! They go out of their way to make their guests feel welcomed and cared for by serving homemade goodies for breakfast, gourmet meals for dinner, suggesting highlights to visit in the area and offering great conversation. Be sure and reserve ahead of time your dinners here as they will be a highlight of your trip. The rooms are charming with comfortable beds, pillows and plenty of space. It was hard to say good-bye to these two special people.

This is a true gem. In a beautiful location close to great Dordogne sights, Richard and Philippe offer spectacular hospitality, especially via the communal tables d'hotes which unite really good cooking with excellent conversation in both French and English. We just enjoyed our third visit (over almost 20 years) and are already looking forward to our fourth.

The evening meals were fantastic, a great chance to catch up with other guests, and sample Richard’s cooking. Richard and Philippe helped plan our daily itinerary and ensured we had everything we needed..

La maison d'hôte " La Belle Demeure " à St Cybranet est juste magnifique, c'est la 2ème année consécutive |que nous passons nos vacances chez Philippe et Richard, elle est vraiment très bien située pour les visites des plus beaux villages de France . Tout est fait pour que l'on passe un merveilleux séjour. Philippe et Richard sont aux petits soins avec tous leurs hôtes, on est reçu comme des princes, les petits déjeuner sont copieux avec des confitures maison , du yaourt et des céréales faits par Richard, il ne manque rien chaque jour différent. Les dîners sont aussi excellents tout est fait maison de l'apèro au dessert . C'est Richard qui est au fourneau et on sent dans l'assiette tout l'amour qui il y met pour nous faire plaisir. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres, la literie est confortable . Nous y retournerons c'est un lieu idyllique, avec une vue magnifique de la terrasse avec sa treille. |Merci Philippe et Richard pour votre accueil chaleureux. A très bientôt

????: First class! Wonderful location in the Dordogne with access to paths, cycleways, and canoeing nearby. The 2 bed apartment was very spacious and comfortable. We ate with Richard and Philippe several times and thoroughly enjoyed Richard's homemade cuisine. He surprised us with new local delicacies every time. Lennox, their golden retriever, was a delight to have around and play with. Philippe and Richard were fantastic hosts. The pool was very welcome! We couldn't recommend La Belle Demeure more..

Amazing stay! My wife and I first stayed at La Belle Demeure 11 years ago, before our son was born. This time we were able to bring him with us :). Although it had been 11 years, Richard and Philippe (and Lennox) made us feel as if we had never left. They are amazing hosts. Saint-Cybranet is a beautiful town, and La Belle Demeure is like something out of a fairy tale; but what pulls it all together and makes for lasting memories are Richard and Philippe. They will help you plan your stay, recommending places to visit in the area. They will make you feel like long-time friends. Make sure to elect to have a meal or two at the Inn, the family style meals are amazing, the setting beautiful, and the hosts of course are wonderful.

If you are traveling with kids, the family suite is very comfortable. Our son (10) had a great time in the pool and playing with Lennox. And the sites of the area were perfect for him to explore (what ten-year old boy doesn't like to run around medieval castles?).

We certainly won't let so many years pass again before making our way back to this magical place!

We had a wonderful stay with Richard, Phillipe and Lennox. They are such fabulous hosts. The care, attention and joy that Richard brings to the cooking and that Philippe brings to the rooms (and both of them to all other areas of the property also!) makes it an absolute charm to stay there. They are both so welcoming and warm in their approach to hosting and delightful people to spend a few days with. The location of the property is perfect for a few days exploring the Dordogne and surrounding countryside. A delightful place. Thank you.

La Belle Demeure was absolutely lovely, made even lovelier by the warmth and hospitality of the hosts, Philippe and Richard (and Lennox of course). This was a fabulous place from which to explore the Dordogne (either on bikes like we were or by car). There is so much to do, and nothing better than coming back after a long ride or day of sightseeing to a lovely space like la Belle Demeure. Make sure to do the table d'hôtes if you have a chance, Richard's cooking and Philippe's fabulous service make for a memorable meal. We hope to be back!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a week and had an amazing time! It's a great B&B at a beautiful location with a lot to do in the surrounding area. The best part however were hosts Richard and Philipe, who went above and beyond to provide you with the best experience. If you stay here and get the chance, do not hesitate to try Richard's delicious home cooked meals!
