C’est juste magnifique ! Aucune faute de goût, literie très confortable et l’accueil des propriétaires a été fortement agréable et arrangent (nous avons eu un beau retard lors de notre arrivée).

Having booked for two nights on the basis of their false publicity, we were very disappointed after the first night. The dinner was minimal at best. The risotto was a spoonful on the plate with no flavour. The ratatouille was two teaspoons. The merlan was dry. The dessert was a shop bought chocolate muffin sitting in tasteless custard. The waitress/receptionist informed us that she was leaving the building at 20:15, locking both exit doors and asking us to switch out the lights. No details were provided in the event of fire. On the basis of that experience we decided to leave after one night. We were told that the credit card reader was not working and that we would have to pay by bank transfer. Having a French bank account, we set up the necessary arrangement and tested it successfully. During breakfast we informed the receptionist that we were going to leave, and she gave us clearly to understand that that would be acceptable. When asked for the invoice for one night, she informed us that the owner (David Moreau) insisted that we pay for two nights. I asked to speak with him on the telephone, and we had a very unpleasant conversation in French. Our explanations were met with a threat that he would call the police, which he duly did within minutes, instructing the receptionist to block our car so that we could not leave. After a lengthy conversation with the police during which we were told that we would have to accompany them to a cash machine to pay the bill (which we never saw) in cash, the receptionist finally produced a credit card reader in working order. We paid for the second night, much against our better judgement, and will never return .
