CHÂTEAU GAUTHIE

We spent a week at Chateau Gauthie in June. Our charming hosts, Stephane and Florence, looked after us well. Our room was spacious and comfortable with an excellent bathroom. Breakfast was very good. Wonderful pool set in scenic grounds. Delightful!

Our recent stay at Château Gauthier was absolutely amazing, and we can’t recommend it enough! We stayed in the beautiful tree house with our two kids, aged 6 and 5, and it was an unforgettable experience for the whole family.||The tree house is incredibly well-equipped – there’s everything you could need, from a fully stocked kitchen to a BBQ and even toilets. The views of the lake are stunning, and we were only a 3-minute walk from the swimming pool. Our kids spent hours splashing around in the pool, and they absolutely loved it. Best of all, mosquitos were not an issue, which was a big relief!||Flo and Stephane are fantastic hosts, and they truly made us feel welcome. Stephane was especially helpful, providing us with great advice for exploring the area. The nearby town has everything you need, and we took some wonderful tours around, especially to the vineyards, which were spectacular – and the wine was simply exquisite!||In addition to the pool, we also enjoyed the badminton and ping pong games available on-site, and even had some relaxing moments playing chess on their lovely chessboard. One evening, Stephane cooked for everyone, and the food was fantastic! We had great conversations with the other guests staying at the property, which made the stay feel even more enjoyable and personal.||One of the highlights for our kids was seeing the storks on the property – such a unique experience! The whole environment is so peaceful, it’s the perfect place to unwind and relax.||If you’re looking for a serene, family-friendly getaway with excellent hosts, Château Gauthier is the place to go. A perfect week in a beautiful chateau in a beautiful location just south of Issigeac. Great pool, lovely grounds, fabulous friendly hosts, incredible cooking from Stefan. Every possible detail covered. Highly recommended if you want to get away from it all and completely relax.

Magnifique séjour au château gauthie, je recommande vivement ! Nous avons passé une semaine dans le gîte familial avec mes 2 enfants de 5 et 6 ans. Le domaine est magnifique, mes enfants ont adoré logé dans le gîte en pleine nature, avec une vue époustouflante sur l'étang. Immersion en pleine nature, bercé par les chants des oiseaux. Le gite est tout en bois, et super confortable - tout y est, cuisine très fonctionnelle, barbecue, chambre séparée pour les enfants, etc. Des heures à profiter de la splendide piscine, la plupart du temps rien que pour nous (et au pire partagé avec un autre couple). Mes enfants étaient très attachés à Huguette la chienne, ont observé les cigognes, les poules et la belle vache des Highland. Nous avons visité un château et les grottes de Lascaux. Cerise sur le gâteau : acceuil très chaleureux de Flo & Stef, qui nous a cuisiné un repas 3 service gastro à tomber par terre. Bref, une semaine exceptionnelle, nous y retournerons c'est sûr !
