We visited Walnut for dinner for the first time this week. Welcomed by the staff on arrival and you can tell straight away that every care is taken with service. The atmosphere is relaxed and the restaurant is comfortable they have aircon. The quality of the food is very very good and the cooking is excellent. We had steak and fish of the day both of which were perfectly cooked. The steak tartare was super fresh and very tasty. Great selection of local wines as well as cocktails etc. I would say that if you are in Eymet then Walnut is a don't miss restaurant.

Le Walnut est LE restaurant idéal pour toutes les occasions : d'un simple date à un repas familial ou entres amis. La cuisine est délicieuse, savoureuse et très bien travaillée. Les cuissons des viandes sont excellentes et les légumes sont valorisés ! La carte des boissons est très bien élaborée et les cocktails délicieux (mention spéciale pour la Walnut Margarita). Au delà des plats, le service est à l'écoute et adorable. L'atmosphère est feutrée et intimiste. Tout y est réuni !

Walnut is a superb restaurant with a well-deserved reputation for excellence. Not only is the food excellent (and always evolving) but also the wine, the decor and the service are all second to none. Chelsea and Julian and the team always go out of their way to ensure that customers have a thoroughly enjoyable experience and to make us feel valued. It's one of the jewels in Eymet's crown.

Three of us liked the change of presentation with the Yorkshire but one preferred the previous presentation with a smaller Yorkshire. Excellent portions - if anything the pork portions were too big. Didn’t particularly like the gratin - preferred the cauliflower cheese. Wine selection is always good and the pain perdu a firm favourite

great food as usual, waited a little to be served. if you kiss your sunday roast with rare tasty beef or port belly with crackling then make a booking !

Wow what a beautiful meal! We had probably one of the best roast dinners even IN FRANCE!! Such a lovely experience, wonderful staff. Felt like a home away from home. Congratulations on such a wonderful restaurant. We will be back.

Après un an, nous sommes revenus au Walnut et c’est toujours aussi plaisant et bon ! Ici le dépaysement est garanti car on y sert une cuisine de qualité avec un accent anglais prononcé…de nombreuses tables sont occupées par des anglophones Il faut dire que la commune est l’une des plus « britanniques » de la Dordogne Une excellente adresse !
