CAMPING LE RAGUÉNÈS PLAGE ^{* * * *}

Beau camping, bien situé avec accès plage. Piscines. Bien. Petit bémol pour le resto, bon mais service pas au top -top.

Quiet peaceful and rural lovely walk to the beach. Facilities limited out of season. Restaurant open limited Menu would not revisit neither food nor service was good and overpriced for what was on offer. Pitches large and hedged. Showers not very hot but acceptable

Superbly close to a pristine beach, Raguénez Plage is well kept and staff are friendly, efficient, professional and knowledgeable. It’s deceptively large and, for the most part, you’re able to camp with some privacy.
Various camping options available. All pitches have access to electricity (auto-included, whether needed or not) and water.

At the entrance are 3 pools, some trampolines, a sports court, a very small convenience shop, & a small restaurant close together. The entertainment area and main ablution block are nearby. A second ablution is a short distance further inwards. (Only a “westernised” setup as far as we could tell, no toilet facilities for other cultures.)

If you’re within earshot of the entertainment & pool area, expect noise all day to 11pm. Some visitors & kids are ignorant of their effect on the surroundings and spoil the atmosphere. The same goes for their use of ablutions but staff regularly clean these.

For families, this is a good place to stay at, regardless of your setup. There are even perma/static camping to rent.

For overlanders & similar self-sufficient campers, it’s less fun. Too much noise & light pollution. A good respite to recharge your vehicle’s batteries, top up water, use the washing/drying machines or shower with hot water (if there’s any left after the masses have used the facilities)
Raguénez Plage has a long way to go, to show eco-consciousness, there’s room for improvement.
Oh, and forget about WiFi use when it’s busy here, there will be no access due to an overloaded network, just too many people online simultaneously.

Really not a bad place but could do with eco-related upgrades plus they have fantastic access to an amazing stretch of natural beauty coastline.

Der Campingplatz punktet mit einer schönen Lage und sauberen Sanitäranlagen, selbst bei voller Belegung. Das Team an der Rezeption war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Allerdings gibt es ein paar Kritikpunkte: Das mobile Internet war hoffnungslos überlastet und das WLAN am Platz muss leider teuer dazugekauft werden, was nicht mehr zeitgemäß ist. Für Hunde ist der Platz im Sommer nur bedingt empfehlenswert, da es in Finistère ein pauschales Hundeverbot an den Stränden gibt. Glücklicherweise konnten wir unsere Hunde auf der großen Wiese vor dem Strand auspowern, und hinter dem Tahiti-Strand fanden wir zwei Stellen, an denen man dank der Gezeiten mit dem Hund ins Wasser konnte. Insgesamt ein guter Campingplatz mit kleinen Abstrichen.
