There was a fun but classic selection of aperitifs, so we started the meal with a nice drink. We were then brought out some surprise snacks to nibble on before the starters.
I am vegetarian, and I know this can be difficult in rural France so I don’t usually expect to be catered for, but this place went above and beyond. I was eating with one pescatarian and a meat eater. My two friends were ordering from one of the set menus, and the chef offered to make me something similar to what they were having but vegetarian, and asked if I had any other preferences.
He created me individual courses which mirrored the food of my friends. Everything was delicious.
They also brought us some surprise chocolates at the end which was lovely. I highly recommend.
