I am the first to criticise those who believe we should look to the past rather than the future but a visit to La Canardière is proof that doing things “the old way” is sometimes more rewarding.
Once inside you are catapulted backwards many decades to an era of cosy simplicity and entirely homemade local food. The service is warm and prices are more than reasonable.
The place is mostly frequented by locals and mountain hikers, the fare is hearty and local wines fairly priced.
Definitely worth a visit, especially if you like duck

Repas copieux, personnel très agréable, prix correct. Je recommande
Je ne sais pas donner mon avis sur les chambres, parce que nous avons un appartement de vacances dans la région, mais la Cuisine est génialement délicieuse. Tout est cuisiné frais sans produits de sachet, comme cuisinés de métier, ça se déguste tout de suite ! Ne pas hésiter à y aller !!!
