Had a great time at Muchenje campsite and cottages, i was staying in a tenthouse, well equipped and very convenient if your looking to have a quiet breakaway, surrounded by nature. The swimming pool's water was perfect for just relaxing and enjoying tghe Botswana sun.

Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen sind wir nach unserer Chobe Riverfront Tour ins Muchenje Camp gefahren. Reserviert hatten wir nicht - kein Problem. Es gibt 10 Campsites die nicht alle in erster Reihe liegen. Die meisten haben keinen Blick in die Plains mehr, da alles zugewachsen ist. Nur Camp 5 hat noch einen schönen Blick. Es gibt eine schöne Terrasse mit Blick in die Plains. Der Ablution Block ist renovierungsbedürftig und nicht gut in Schuss. Die Nähe zur Straße hat morgens gestört und eine Tankstelle wurde direkt neben dem Gelände erreichtet.
Wasser war zu unserer Zeit nicht im Fluss. Es waren nur Rinder unterwegs. Sonst nichts zu sehen.
Wir waren enttäuscht und fanden es dort nicht besonders - zumal der Preis recht hoch ist. Preis-Leistung nicht gut.

Muchenje, no words could explain this little piece of Heaven. Our trailer broke down on the Savuti road on 29 Sept 2023 and we were booked to camp in Muchenje, with no trailer and all stressed out. Hayden and Bronwyn the owners couldn't do enough to help us, the gave us a cottage for 5 nights to help us sort the trailer out and have it sent back on a flat bed to JHB. Their place Muchenje is beautiful, the cottages and campsites are great value, clean, modern, spacious, stunning views, even a little chapel to visit on their property. The deck overlooks the Chobe. Quick drive into Chobe park. Been to many places in Botswana and never stayed in such a magical peaceful place before, well done. Will always visit, long or short stays. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Hayden and Bronwyn we will forever be greatful for you kindness, hospitality and love you shared. May the Lord bless you always.

Great experience on our way to Kasane.
Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The campsite are clean with water and electricity. The shop was a life saver. And the bird watch walk on the marsh with Mister Stone was great. Stone knows everything that there is to know about birds in Botswana.
I will recommend this stop to everyone
