The Twelve Senses Retreat is aptly named -- the moment you enter the property you immediately feel that you've retreated from the noisy, hectic everyday world. Many little touches enhance the experience, from the convenience of being able to check-in and check-out from your phone to savoring the night-time breezes from the rooftop deck. As others have mentioned the breakfasts are healthy and delicious and the decadence of having a freshly pulled shot of espresso delivered to your room in the morning is out of this world. I had a wonderful stay. Bravo, Anke!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Anke and twelve senses retreat. The attention to detail, quality of products, and curated experience exceeded my expectations. We spent my bachelorette weekend here and we're able to enjoy the tranquility of a bed & breakfast while also being conveniently located near downtown Encinitas. I am blown away at the value we got with everything and highly recommend booking a weekend here!

What a nice place to spend the weekend! The room was lovely, very stylish and comfortable. The owner, Anke, made us feel right at home offering restaurant recommendations and serving absolutely delicious coffee and breakfast each morning. Can't wait to come back soon!

Anke and her team are incredible hosts. From the amazing organic breakfasts and their love of animals (and the welcome bowls and treats they received upon check in!), to the thoughtful decor and amenities of hotel-including incredible yoga and sound baths, I heartily recommend 12 Senses Retreat!

This unique place is a delight. It is spacious, quiet, light, and sustainable.
The uncluttered, contemporary room has everything needed, including a small patio. The huge plus for me is all the natural products, from pillows, mattress, towels, and no smell of chemicals or perfumes. A yoga mat was provided, and there is room for a yoga practice in the room. The rooftop seating area is also lovely and has bottled water for purchase.
