This was by far the worst place we stayed in our entire 3 weeks in France - because of the fact that the managers were not only unresponsive to our inquiries, but absolutely rude in the way that they finally did respond. (I speak French fluently so I know exactly what was said.) | I know that most French hotels do not have AC but I specifically only reserved hotels with AC because I have diabetes. When we entered our room, the thermostat read 28°C = 82.4°F !!! So we set the thermostat to its lowest setting and went to dinner. When we came back 2 hours later, the room was still 82.4°! Obviously the AC had not come on.| I called the front desk. The manager came up and looked at the thermostat. She told us that it looked like the AC was not working. I asked if she at least had a fan we could use. She said she would look for one. I waited 2 hours for her to get back to me. She never called nor came back to the room! | We opened the windows but there was no air flow, and with the bright street lights shining in, it was nearly impossible to get to sleep. From 11:30 pm to midnight, I tried to contact any managers, with no response. Then I started emailing. | Eventually, I got a very rude email back from the manager telling me that I should have been understanding that a technical problem could arise, that all I had to do was open the windows because the temperature outside was 10°C / 50 °F. (Our thermostat read 24°C / 75.2 °F!) | He continued with: "Votre incompréhension devant ce problème est vraiment étonnant, et devant votre hystérie nous aurons beaux nous excuser, vous offrir une prestation cela a du mal à vous calmer je pense...." This translates to "Your incomprehension in the face of this problem is truly astonishing, and in the face of your hysteria it's all very well for us to apologize, offer you a service, but I don't think that will calm you down." | He called me "hysterical" for trying to get answers about a problem he did not tell us about. Unacceptable and insulting.
