Comfortable restaurant with enclosed porch seating overlooking Skaneatales Lake. It's part of a very charming inn dating back to the early 1800s so waiting for a table in the cozy bar or by the lobby's roaring fireplace is a pleasure. The Sherwood Inn Favorites part of the menu is the most unusual, with old-fashioned dishes like a Yankee Pot Roast and roast chicken. Lots of mashed potatoes or Tavern Rice to accompany all entrees! We enjoyed the grilled duck breast and a roast beet salad which is suited to lighter appetites. Older crowd with lots of locals and more casual vibe in the bar. Delicious berry cobbler dessert.

We met some friends there for a day trip and lunch. You can't enjoy sitting there and looking out front at the lake any more than this. Service was friendly, and excellent.

I cannot speak about the rooms, we had only gone there for dinner. The food was delicious, the atmosphere is very cozy (with views of the Skaneateles Lake), the staff were friendly and always checked as they passed through.

Gem of a place. Rooms are cute, old style architecture. The brunch buffet for Easter and mother's Day are spectacular. Highly recommend.
