We got into our room on the second day but the attitude from the owner was not nice. Ended up with us checking out after half of our week at Tamarix because of this. Fair enough, we would rather lose that money and go to another hotel to have a good last couple of days on our holiday.
Other than that, I would not say it is a four star standard on the hotel unfortunately. Spider webs in some corners and some towels had stains on them, we were told the AC could not run for longer periods of time. The reception was almost always empty and when calling the reception (the number went to the owners phone) we would hear the ring tone in another room but no amswer.
The location of the hotel is nice though, very close to the water and a beach.
