Amazing hosts from the second we arrived. Trusty recommendations to save money and to other local, family-owned hidden-gems. Try the dinner - the Ricotta was the best meal I’ve had in Costa Rica! Beautiful views, from the cabins and private viewpoint. The two cute puppies for company were an added bonus. The breakfast was consistently nice, filling and healthy. Pura Vida!

We cannot say enough positive things about Belcruz and the excellent host Randall - it was our favourite accomodation of all 4 that we stayed at during our trip. Definitely recommend adding this to your list of places to stay when visiting Costa Rica. Randall is so welcoming, he makes you feel like a member of the family. He even helped us learn some new Spanish words (acachiete!). The accommodation is beautiful and clean, with stunning views (see photos). The breakfast was delicious. The short walk from the accommodation to the restaurant where you have your breakfast is beautiful and a lovely walk to do each morning. Muchas gracias Randall for making our time in Monteverde so special! We hope to be back in the future.

Good view, good location, friendly owner and family. They were very nice to fold a heart-shaped towel and put flower petals on the bed for our honeymoon! However, there’s basically no Wi-Fi in our room, and the view from our room is not as great as the ones shown in the other reviews/rooms. Also, we saw typical rice & beans dish on the table next to us for some Spanish speaking guests’ but we were never offered that.
