BELCRUZ FAMILY LODGE

We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The family that owns and operates this place is the sweetest and very accommodating. We had wonderful breakfasts every morning in their restaurant (included with our room) and a lovely trail connected our room to the restaurant below (check the trail photo). The room we had had two bedrooms and was quite large. It had an overall cozy feeling with wood paneling on the walls. The view from the room was amazing, hard to beat for sure!

The only thing to keep in mind that the rooms do not have AC, so if it’s hot outside you may need to open the front door and rear window to cool the room off. It does cool down at night in the area, so I left the window open a crack every night for airflow.

The restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. We ordered dinner for a night in advance and were served a gourmet meal, not unlike something you’d get at a fancy restaurant anywhere. What a pleasant surprise!

Overall, Belcruz is a special place and is totally worth a stay while in the Monteverde area!!

Hermoso lugar en Monteverde, nos sentimos muy cómodos en este hermoso emprendimiento familiar, gracias a Randall y flia por su amabilidad. Tiene hasta una montaña desde donde ver los mejores atardeceres. También tiene un resto que en caso de querer cenar en el lugar.

Very friendly bed and breakfast option, perfect if you wanna stay a couple of nights. I liked the location too.

I was looking for another hotel and I found this place and it's really nice!
The view is amazing, the tenant is really nice, patient and understandable. He found me a beautiful little room for the night. I had an issue with the lamp in the bathroom and he fixed it as soon as I told him.
I quiet and the room was clean. It has a fridge. The only thing is the Wifi that can be a bit slow or sometimes you lose the connection but otherwise it was perfect.
The breakfast is also very good, you definitely have to try it!
I just had a bit of trouble to find the reception the first time I got there. The GPS sent me to the lodges parking and you have to go to a little path through the trees and cross a little bridge to get to the reception. It's possible to access it by car also, it's just that it's not the address written on Maps, it's a bit further after the turn (if you come from the city - Santa Elena).
Also it's not very close to the city, you'll need a car to get there.
