HÔTEL HARMONY ^{* * * *}

The room we were given was in an outbuilding at the back of the hotel. This means that there was no view. The lift leading up to the room was malfunctioning. There is a metal staircase outside the room, this is very loud when people use it and there is no noise protection in the room, so we did not get any sleep. The poor noise isolation means that you can also hear the street outside, and the people above you. The drains need unblocking, I saw this mentioned in other reviews, it appears to still be an issue as the sink drained slowly and we could hear the blockage through the bath. There was only 1 plug socket free which was inconvenient as it was by the coffee maker. The room and outside areas were outdated and in need of refurbishment with a lot of visible damage. There was no privacy in the bathroom because one of the glass doors has been smashed (presumably by a previous guest) and had not been replaced. The visible damages make the room feel dirty.
The electricity in our room had issues which meant the wifi kept dropping out, and at one point the TV came on loudly in the middle of the night which woke me up when I did finally manage to get to sleep.
One staff member was particularly unpleasant to us but the other two we spoke to were very friendly and helpful, and the location is also good which is why I am not rating as 1 star.
The room was GBP 270.00 which I feel is expensive for the poor experience.

Very large and clean rooms, comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast, very attentive service all round.
Shortage of plug sockets in the room, kettle, coffee maker and fridge all share the same one ???? Take a short extension lead with adapter for your chargers.
Location excellent, good parking underneath, remember to book.
Ghent is beautiful and this is an excellent base to explore.

Το ξενοδοχείο σε πολυ καλή τοποθεσία! Το δωμάτιο μεγαλο και με μεγαλο μπανιο. Το μονο μειονέκτημα ηταν που ειχε δυο μόνα στρώματά ενωμένα για διπλό κρεβάτι.

Ik en mijn ouders genoten alweer van een heerlijk ontbijt met uitstekende service in hotel Harmony!

Mooi hotel, onze kamer 303 geweldig, heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt, echt 4* waard. Lokatie is ook super, in het centrum, volop restaurantjes in de ongeving. Je moet wel mbt bereikbaarheid en parkeren dit vooraf goed regelen. Kortom prijs/kwaliteit top.
