Wir haben eine Nacht im Gästehaus mit geteiltem Bad und Küche verbracht und dabei gemischte Gefühle gehabt. Auf der einen Seite gibt es einen neuen, modernen und sauberen Aufenthaltsraum und Küche, zum anderen sind die Zimmer so klein, dass nicht mal ein Koffer Platz darin findet. Es ist relativ hellhörig. Dafür ein Stern Abzug. Zweiter Minuspunkt war für uns, dass in der Küche keinerlei Grundausstattung wie Salz und Pfeffer vorhanden waren. Das muss man an der Rezeption kaufen - so was haben wir in ganz Island nicht erlebt. Auch ein Föhn ist nur an der Rezeption erhältlich (die leider 300 Meter entfernt liegt). Alle weiteren Services wie der Hot Pot waren ebenfalls kostenpflichtig, bei nicht günstigem Grundpreis. Wir haben dankend verzichtet. Gastfreundlichkeit sieht unserer Meinung nach etwas anders aus.

Stayed here for one night in september after visiting the snæfellsnes peninsula. We booked a room with shared bathroom/kitchen facilities. Be prepared, the six guest rooms in this house are absolutely tiny. There is space for two single beds, a tiny table and chair. It was fairly disappointing to find out that for the use of the "resort" hot spring, guests are charged extra (the only hotel out of the 10 locations we stayed at in Iceland where this was the case). Most pathetically though, the resort does not even provide salt or pepper for the shared kitchen. Yep you guessed it, this is also for sale at reception. For about €150 a night for a tiny room with no breakfast and shared bathroom, I truly believe you deserve at least that pinch of salt...
Very clean facilities all around though.

Chambre avec salle d eau à partager. Decoration cosy, chambre petite 10 m2, cuisine et salon télé à dispo. Restaurant cuisine excellente et petit déjeuner très bien.
Pas de commerce aux alentours.
Cadre agréable et bain chaud extérieur moyennant supplément.
