HOMEWOOD SUITES BY HILTON SHREVEPORT

*The next paragraph is a follow up to my first review below that:

Unfortunately I gave the hotel one more shot after their reply to this review. There was no hot water on my subsequent stay. Not at all, the entire week. I should have known better. Be warned!

I'm done staying here.
I had done a review about a year ago and have had to erase it due to my most recent stays. First, the staff are very nice and welcoming. Nothing wrong there. They have never been anything but kind.
So, this stay began with me checking in the day before arrival on the app. When I arrived at the hotel the next day at 4pm, there were no rooms ready. I had to sit in the lobby for an hour for a room to be cleaned. It was after 5pm (check in time 3), and they canceled the room checked into on the 1st floor and put me on the 4th. The room they put me in has obviously had the door kicked in before because you have to slam against it to open. Inside the room is typical and a but run down. The dishwasher isn't even attached to the counter and moves out of place by using it. You would have better water pressure if you just waited for it to rain and showered outside. Horrible. I spoke to the desk about it 3 times and they said they fixed it. If I have to stay here again I'll buy a bucket to wash I because it would be quicker than the pathetic shower. Breakfast is hit or miss like most Hilton locations. Im so disappointed in this stay that it is definitely my last at this hotel.

Great staff and open hearts I knew I was safe in LA last Wed morning

Kitchen staff is so sweet but beware staying here if you don't want your things stolen I would stay elsewhere! Someone went into our room while we were at work and took personal belongings from our room.. brand new things we had just bought. Took from OUR Suitcase and shopping bag to be exact! Nothing was done about it. Manager defended her staff. Told me Noone could have taken our things! Well they didn't grow legs and walk out that's for damn sure!!!! The front desk lady Dreeka complimented me for several days on my clothing and so happen those exact things were taken.. weird!!!! I even went as far as to corporate to complain but they said it's up to the hotel to make things right.
We are diamond members we even own hitlon properties. We stay at homewood suites everywhere we travel for work and have NEVER had no issues, until we come to Louisiana. I guess that's what they do around here.

Nice location but some people here is not treating people fairly. The room was not completely clean but it was durable.

Room was not cleaned, requested new room and it was better but not cleaned, hallways and stairwells had not been vacuumed. On 2nd day we returned to our room and someone’s toboggan was in our room that was not ours. We left “do not disturb” sign on our door so no one should have been in our room. One of the worst Hilton hotels I have stayed at in a long time
