The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location is great with a nice sheltered beach. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and the food was excellent. The rooms were very nice and clean and comfortable.

We came via helicopter charter to avoid waiting around... they have kept us waiting for over an half hour. not a good start.

Its a well laid out tranquil location with clean large bungalows. Scooter hire is next door. Wonderful easy island for this way to get round. We were not warned Saturday night there was an event held in resort with loud music and soccer chanting till 2 am. I had 8am start scuba dive next morning. Then later in day Air Caledonia or Oure Tera didnt tell us our flight back to Noumea was cancelled so had to stay an extra night (that we had to pay for) but prob was we therefore missed our onward flight back to Australia. No refund on flight costs. Magical Island and marine environment all the same.

The location is spectacular - Paradise! - quiet, peaceful, not too large and direct beachfront - however the actual resort desperately needs updating - (moldy lounge chair mattresses, broken curtains, broken furniture - small details - however there are lots of them - so the place looks shabby and tired). I believe it has been operating for 20 years now - would be great to see them spend some money on the place, Oure tera has the definite potential to be a Top Class Resort given the perfect location/positioning they have - and would then justify the AU$600+ per night accommodation I paid for a Beach Bungalow. Lunch is the best menu of the day and food quality - the dinners - alas, really not value for money given the food quality - (steak was like rubber) - however the dinner service crew (the ladies) - were really lovely.

Nous n’avons testé que le restaurant. À midi, super que du positif ce qui nous a donné envie d’y retourner le soir même.|Premier arrivés avec deux enfants en bas âge. Dernier servis (1h30 d’attente et 3 relances), saumon pas cuit, viande trop cuite, demandes particulières pas respectées, assiettes vraiment bâclées.||Le restaurant a reconnu ses tords et a offert les boissons. ||Donc top le midi, à éviter le soir.||Cadre superbe !

Expérience décevante. Un accueil presque froid à l'arrivée, navette constamment en retard, des serveuses qui nous réclament des pourboires, ménage bâclé avec des serpillères oubliées dans la chambre, un choix très limité au petit déjeuner, et j'en passe.
Nous avons décidé d'écourter notre séjour après une nuit. Les deux étoiles sont pour la disposition des chambres et les quelques membres du personnel serviables. Mais dans l'ensemble, nous pensons que cet hôtel ne mérite pas ses 4 étoiles et son tarif actuel.
