Be careful this hotel seems to do overbooking everyday ... as many others customers that we met there, we booked a room by phone several days before our arrival. When we arrived at the hotel at 18h30 after a long trip, the receptionist told us that the was full... They offered to transfer us back to their other hotel... in Lankin (hotel Oasis) about 30 minutes from semuc champey. We had to bargain strongly for a compensation. But we just obtained to be sure having a room for our second night and a lift to lankin (where we had our bus to guatemala city) early in the morning the next day for FREE which is not a big deal as they are doing this lift anyway.... finally beyond the beautiful location this hotel sucks ! If it's quite clean all the others services are really expensive regarding their quality. The food is horrible, not local and really cheap and bad, whîle some indians were cooking around. I felt as a tourist that had no choice but just to pay. In one month travelling in Guatemala and Honduras I never encountered such bad services and relationships.
