MOTU FARA PRIVATE ISLAND

What a beautiful, peaceful and rare place in the world Motu Fara is; so gorgeous, calm and authentic in spirit. If you're reading this, then it's likely you are not a typical first-time tourist to Tahiti or the Tuamotus...so here's our experience...||We deeply appreciated the level of privacy at Motu Fara, (there's only two bungalows on the motu) and the dedicated attention, care and kindness of the staff...Vanessa, Kahaya, and her husband. They all went out of their way to insure our happiness in every way, and we grew to adore them all.||We stayed in the larger bungalow (Fare Nui), but would have been happy staying in the other bungalow (Fare Iti). The generous common space, the rooms, bed, outdoor spaces (great to have a pool with a direct view right over the Avatoru Pass) - allare comfortable and well cared for. There's even a TV that can stream Netflix, so we weren't exactly sad to watch movies at night.||The food was fresh and quite good, thanks to chef (Fabrice) who took special care in creating vegetarian dishes for me. The setting of the restaurant itself is amazing...with an incredible view of the reef that stretches for miles into the sea. So many shades of blue.||We snorkeled a few times off the beach at Motu Fara, lots of fish and healthy coral - but the water is pretty shallow- so it's best that you go to "the aquarium", and also take some excursions to the blue lagoon, etc.||Caveat- be sure to bring along ample mosquito spray. They were everywhere except in the restaurant (since it's overwater). ||We've been to Rangiroa before, (and French Polynesia many, many times) - Motu Fara was a great new "discovery" for us- the sort of place that's elevated, but relaxed - peaceful, but still a little bit in the wild, very much alive and filled with the sweetness of nature and of the people who make it special and always filled with their smiles. ||Thank you Motu Fara!

Unrivaled hospitality set in a causal and supremely private setting. Highly recommend for those searching for a great time with the laid back nature of the Tuamotus.

We hosted our intimate wedding at Motu Fara in September this year. Moetini and the team exceeded all expectations in helping us create the dream experience for us and our guests. Every detail was accounted for and every vision we had they helped to ensure it was achieved. The location is absolutely breathtaking. A private paradise!

It was an experience we will cherish forever and we can’t wait to come back.
