I brought all my kite gear to Bora Bora except for my boards, and contacted Alban to rent a board as well as find a place to launch. Alban picked me up by boat from my hotel’s dock. Once we determined there was enough wind for at least the foil board, we headed out into the lagoon, where he helped me launch my kite in the water. At first, I thought there would only be enough wind for a foil session, which I would have been happy with, but then the wind picked up! Alban was prepared with 2 other boards, one a regular twin tip board, and the other a light wind twin tip board. I cruised around the lagoon and jumped with the regular twin tip board while the wind cranked, then when it lightened up a bit, I switched to the light wind board and cruised around. I had the entire lagoon to myself, with waist deep water for easier relaunching of the kite and/or retrieval of the board. Alban was right there to help rescue me as needed, even repositioning the boat when I failed to stay upwind. The experience of kiting in Bora Bora exceeded my expectations, mainly due to Alban being prepared with 2 extra boards to keep me entertained with various styles of riding. The videos I shot with my GoPro, and the pictures were taken by Alban from the boat.

J'ai fait un cours de wingfoil de deux heures, et j'ai appris énormément de chose et j'ai pu voir ma progression depuis ma dernière session.

The spots were fantastic and you have a lot of space! You even get great photos at the end.
