HÔTEL LE MAHANA HUAHINE

While we did not stay at the hotel, we stopped at the restaurant on our ebikes. The drinks were good, the view was even better, and the Coconut Pie dessert was to die for! We would recommend this restaurant for the view & drinks alone & would stop here again.

Gros coup de cœur pour ce fabuleux hôtel avec un coucher de soleil parmi les plus beaux que nous ayons jamais vus. Hôtel avec beaucoup de charme, personnel très accueillant et toujours aux petits soins pour nous faire plaisir. Les repas sont très raffinés et nous n'avons jamais mangé de yaourt à la vanille aussi bons. Notre chambre était très cosy et nous y avons très bien dormi.

We stayed in a beachfront bungalow at Huahine Le Mahana and the views were absolutely stunning—perfect for sitting out on the deck and watching the sunset. The room was clean and comfortable, and the beach itself was well maintained. Just off the nearby pier, there are small coral reefs and plenty of fish, making it a great spot for snorkelling. Paddleboards and kayaks are available for guests to use, though they’re first come, first served.

The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It’s a wonderful place to unwind and switch off. That said, it is quite remote, so I’d definitely recommend hiring a car. There are only two restaurants nearby—one closes on Sundays and the other offers only a buffet on that day.

There were a few drawbacks, mostly related to the restaurant. Service was quite slow, and the menu felt limited. Oddly, the lunch and snack menus are separate, and on one occasion I wanted something light like a panini for lunch but was told it wasn’t available until 3pm. An all-day menu would have made things much easier.

As for the food, we found the dinner mains disappointing—the smoked pork was overly smoked and salty, the chicken was dry, and the vegetables were overcooked. I ended up playing it safe with a cheeseburger for lunch, which was actually quite good. The profiteroles were also a highlight.

Overall, it’s a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the scenery. I’d recommend it to others for a peaceful getaway, but personally, I wouldn’t return

Un emplacement paradisiaque, le bungalow est suspendu au dessus du lagonx excellente literie, décoration locale de qualité, plage ombragée et jardin de corail accessibles depuis l’hôtel. Le restaurant n’est pas extraordinaire et le service le soir est expéditif.
