We have been warmly welcomed in Tahiti and Moorea until our encounter with a very rude gentleman serving in the tasting room. He called us over for a tasting and poured us a Tahiti drink and literally forgot about us. We were in no hurry so waited until the server next to us let him know he had forgotten about us. We moved again per his request and he poured another juice drink and were attempting to ask a question about a coconut drink when he incorrectly presumed we were hurrying him. He began to disparage us in French to his coworker but, unfortunately, we speak French and understood. He then came back and began telling us that he dictated the order of the tasting and was extremely rude. We turned and left. Such a sad experience in light of so many other wonderful times.

We only stopped by the shop to buy the sparkling wine with pineapple, recommended by my son. It tasted good, but the price was quite high compared to what we’d pay in the US.
