J’ai eu la chance de commencer mon aventure chez Eleuthera en avril 2023 avec l’Advanced Open Water, puis d’y revenir en janvier 2025 pour poursuivre avec le Rescue Diver, le Divemaster et enfin l’Instructor PADI OWSI.
Chaque étape a été marquée par un accompagnement d’une grande qualité, tant sur le plan technique qu’humain.
La richesse de l’expérience vécue ici est telle que j’aurais aimé que la formation dure encore plus longtemps.
Le Course Director, Fred Thibur, se distingue par sa sensibilité, son écoute et sa rigueur. Il sait donner des conseils justes, précis et parfaitement adaptés.
De son côté, Nico Castel, propriétaire du centre, incarne le calme et la courtoisie. Sa vision axée sur la clientèle m’a beaucoup inspiré et apporté une dimension supplémentaire à mon apprentissage.
Au-delà d’eux, tout le staff reflète l’esprit d’Eleuthera : chaque membre apporte sa propre couleur, différente mais parfaitement complémentaire, enrichissant ainsi la formation à chaque instant.
Eleuthera n’est pas seulement un centre de plongée : c’est un véritable lieu de transmission, où compétence, exigence et bienveillance vont de pair.
Je recommande sans réserve à quiconque souhaite progresser ou se former sérieusement dans la plongée.

Nous avons eu la bonne idée de toquer à la porte d'Eleuthera et sa fantastique équipe ! Découvrir et explorer les fonds avec Jérémy, Amaury, Fred, Romain, Maël, Fabien, Marie-Charlotte, Eric, Christophe, Jean-Nicolas, Jean-Bastien, Lisa, Armel a été une belle expérience à chaque fois. Toujours le sourire, le conseil et le bon mot. Sans oublier la gentillesse de Niko et Teiki.
Nous n'aurions pas pu espérer mieux. Immense merci à toute l'équipe.

This was probably the best dive experience our group of 4 has ever had. World-class dive sites, excellent equipment, free espresso, and a friendly and professional staff made for a perfect environment.

Our guide Marie-Charlotte was the best dive guide any of us have ever had. She is a gifted teacher, patient and professional. She valued safety above all but not so much that one felt stifled. If I was learning to dive, I would seek her out. She is French but her English is excellent.

I would say half star off for mediocre email correspondence prior to the trip. I would have liked a confirmation of my itinerary and a welcome letter a couple of weeks prior to arrival as we had booked a total of 5 days of diving through their office. But I had to contact them, and the reply had minimal information.

Du niveau 1 au niveau 3 puis divemaster et instructor au sein de Eleuthera, je peux vous assurer que les 6mois passé dans ce centre ont été géniaux!

Amazing dive shop! Great at communication, very flexible with schedules, and so welcoming. Our 10 year old got his certification here. Highly recommend Nico and Roman who were his dive instructors and AMAZING with instructing our son and extremely patient.

Diving here was, without question, one of the most memorable highlights of our entire trip to French Polynesia.

From the very beginning, the team showed such thoughtful attention to detail and care, especially by arranging to pick us up directly from where we were staying. Perfect for our day trip from the cruise.

But what truly made this experience amazing was the way the Eleuthera team supported me through my very first dive and helped me complete my certification over the next few days. I was excited but nervous, and yet every instructor I met was calm, patient, and incredibly encouraging. They guided me through every step with clarity, kindness, and a deep respect for safety and the ocean. I never once felt rushed or overwhelmed, only empowered and inspired.

If you're considering diving in Tahiti, especially if you're just beginning, look no further. Their warmth, professionalism, and passion for the ocean will leave you inspired, confident, and forever grateful.

Update to most recent trip April 2025:

This was our second visit to Tahiti and nothing has changed! This is still a marvelous dive shop taking folks out on magical dives! We asked for sharks, turtles, anemones, rays and bonus points for octopus annnd guess what we got? Sharks, turtles, anemones, rays AND our octopus!!! The staff is so kind and friendly and we had a lot of fun diving with them. This time we had Jean as our guide and he did not disappoint! He managed to keep an eye on our family of four and show us around on several dive sites. We are so glad we were able to return and dive with this shop again and we definitely recommend you do the same!

June 2022:
We can't say enough great things about this dive company!! They were wonderful! Nico answered all my questions very thoroughly. His staff were all very warm and welcoming and excited to dive. They took my family of four out for four days of diving, our youngest is 10 and recently certified. Maël, our fabulous guide, made sure my youngest was comfortable and assisted my 14yo in getting more comfortable with buoyancy. We went to different dive sites each time and they just kept getting better and better! Maël knew just where to look to show us the coolest things. He found us a baby reef shark getting a cleaning, it was awesome!! They keep their groups small and each group in the boat had their own guide. The last dive we had Jean, and even though we hadn't dove with him, he'd seen us in the boat and in the water, and knew what to watch out for in assisting our kids. This is a company that has really hired the right people. They are a definite company to return to and dive with again and again, we can't wait!!

Great refresher dive. I hadn’t been diving in a long time and as a solo diver, I felt really welcomed and safe. This team gave me a great reintroduction to diving, and they helped me remember why I love diving so much.

Eleuthera, c’est bien plus qu’un centre de plongée, c’est une véritable famille ! J’ai eu la chance de débuter la plongée avec eux, et leur passion, leur pédagogie et leur bienveillance m’ont accompagné tout au long de mon parcours, et même à l’obtention de mon permis bateau.

L’équipe est hyper compétente, toujours à l’écoute, et sait transmettre son amour de la mer et de la plongée, dans une ambiance très conviviale.

Un immense merci à toute l’équipe pour ces années de progression, de découvertes sous-marines et de bons moments partagés. Si vous cherchez un club sérieux et chaleureux, ne cherchez pas plus loin !

Équipe et directeur de plongée vraiment adorable. Toujours avec le sourire et la bonne humeur. J’ai passé mon baptême et mon niveau 1 de plongée dans ce club, ainsi que le permis bateau et tout était parfait. Suivi très personnalisé et équipe à l’écoute. Un bonheur ! J’appréhendais beaucoup de plonger, car j’ai peur du fond marin et au final je suis triste de partir. Expérience inoubliable. Merci pour tout !

What a fantastic day. I was picked up by Jeremy (ty!) and driven to the shop. Took a morning refresher dive on Te Moana. About 40 spotted rays hanging out. So graceful! Lots of wrasse, parrot fish, angels, grouper. My dive master Fabien was very attentive and informative prior to getting in water. Teiki was playing the uke and singing when we came out of the water. What a way to set the ambiance and mood for the trip back!
Went for 2nd dive to 3CPANGS. Damian was Dive Master this time. He reviewed sites, signals, and what to expect. Much appreciated! Old wooden ship wreck with lots of growth and wildlife. Two planes providing habitat for more wildlife. Beautiful rose coral in that area. Almost missed the scorpion fish!
After all the fun, I didn't have to worry about driving. They drove me back. Yes!!

Whether you are experienced or just beginning your underwater adventures (someone else completed their certification today), I highly recommend this shop for door to door service and professional attention in the water.

Spent 3 days and 6 tanks with the dive shop. We were lucky to have Fabien as our dive master. He is really friendly, patient and helpful. We found a large nurse shark and a couple small whitetip sharks on our last dive. Highly recommend this dive shop.

Highly recommend the team at Plongee Eleuthera. I got my open water, advanced open water, and enriched air certs here over the course of two weeks. I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful group of people. Friendly, safety conscious, helpful, and attentive. French and English. Wonderful dive spots a short ride from the marina. A remarkable team of people. I look forward to coming back for more.

Le meilleur club de plongée sur Tahiti... personnel très pro et sympa. La pédagogie est un de leurs forts. Les plongées proposées et les formations sont à des tarifs abordables et surtout très bien encadrées.
