I just wanted to do the hike to the falls without a guide. They were asking for 50k. I'm a resident! Besides, I was already paying at the Eco forest offices for the whole day. Seems they charge multiple times for a public forest. Trails in Mabira are not marked. There are available maps. Either you go with a guide or you leave it. Overall disappointed ????

The zipling is fun, but short and rather expensive for foreigners.
The camp itself is not really well maintained or hospital and it seems like the management is really after the money. The tents they provide are very small, there is no real area to "lounge". Positive remarks for the connection to the community-based organization that benefits from the profits. Next time I would only come with my own tent or go somewhere else.

Myself and newly wed wife had a great time. The team/guides on ground were so hospitable, helpful, patient and fun. They guided us through the tree top zip linning and archery- both of which we were doing for the first time. They also helped take photos with our own phones in addition to the ones that come with the activity package taken by camera. The fees were affordable for both activities (50k and 60 pp). However, the drive through Lugazi town, then through the sugar canes is quite long and a bit not clear, we heavily relied on google maps and a few large blue rocks along the way. The locals can guide you though. I highly recommend the place.

I know very well we ended up paying too much for this place considering we were only guests there and we were left only with USD. Walking trails in the forest can be very confusing, they should signpost them for their visitors. You can opt for tracking habituated mangabeys, which we did, but we met them anyway on our walks during the day. They have a very good cook from the community named Joan. Seems that this place somehow attracts "elite" from Kampala to perform archeries and zip-lining, there were noisy and litter the camp. Really not impressive at all.
